I've realized that I'm not going to be able to find pics on my own of suitable guesses for this game, so I propose a new rule...... After a week of the last posted pic being revealed as real or not, the topic is open to anyone who has a pic for the game. That takes stress off of just one person having to hunt down a proper picture, and will keep this topic/game moving....... What do you guys think, sound good? Meanwhile, here's a pic to guess on, real or 'shopped?
-
You guys that guessed real are correct........ It was built to be made to look like it is backward! I'll post up another pic as soon as I find a suitable one.......
-
I won't be adding a pic on any set schedule, I'll probably just post guesses as I run across them..... So, which is the below pic, real or 'shopped?
-
You guys got it..... it's a real car. Is it okay with you guys to just add to this thread instead of starting a new one for every game? It will be easier to keep track of.... I'll try to put more guesses up in the near future!

I thought that there maybe could be a new game, guessing if pics are of actual vehicles or a rendering of sorts done with photoshop. You wouldn't need to PM me with your guesses, just reply below with which you think it is..... this makes it more open to discussion. So, which is the below pic, real or 'shopped? Please don't PM me, just reply below.......

What if someone could run a "Real or Photoshopped" quiz? That may be easier than trying to find pics for a RoM every week........ just a thought.

California Ain't What It Used To Be
JollySipper replied to regular guy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I've always wanted to move to California, even as a kid...... mainly for the music and car scenes. It used to be I wanted to live in SoCal, now I would rather be further north...... I would buy up a bunch of land and let the Government grow on it..... -

Got the interior put together..... looks like the glue I'm using is gonna hold. We'll see when it's time to join chassis to body....

Thanks.... this kit is so similar to the Beetle kit, that it has a Beetle dash and steering wheel as extra parts....
-
Thanks, Dann! Got some progress to show...... pretty much have the belly pan done, now comes trying to attach the interior. Thanks for looking in, guys!

Thanks for the advice, Ken.... The bracing is still attached to the body, the plan is to leave it in place until I can get it painted and foiled.....
-
and for a good cause! I'm building a replica for a friend...... Here's the latest progress, got the suspensions painted. Also painted the engraved VWs in the wheel covers...... The rear is all one piece, I tried to make it as interesting as I could.... Thanks for lookin', guys....

Hey, Fellas.... I thought I would post my progress as I go of this little car. The kit is a Gunze Sangyo Karmann Ghia. I don't think I've seen anyone do a build thread on one, so here it goes. The kit is very nicely done, but it's very brittle plastic, as I discovered by running too cold water over it and breaking the A-pillars. The interior is molded in the same vinyl as the tires. Luckily the interior will be staying black. I'm using 'Beacon 527 multi-use' glue on the vinyl stuff....... The car will be white with a black interior and built as a convertible....

Making an Ardun engine a regular flat Head
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This is awesome info, Guys..... Thanks! I may end up buying one of the '50 Ford kits since they have the nice hop-up parts for a flathead.... Looking at reviews of these kits, it seems I would still need a good set of headers. What would be a good source for some nice chrome long-tube headers for a flathead? Thanks again....... -

Making an Ardun engine a regular flat Head
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
What I'm gathering from what you guys have said, The heads, intake, and headers that I need are found in the older release of this kit with the panel "paint"..... and the newer release has the better Ardun parts......
