They're good little pets, just Not for kids! I pretty much let him do whatever he wants to........ He lets me know when he wants in his ball by chewing the wire cover of his habitat. They live up to three years if taken care of!

I hooked my hamster up with a new house today........ I cut a rectangle hole in two adjacent sides of a model box lid, and made a tunnel for one of the sides from a Little Debbie cake box.... They like dens and tunnels! and Anything you put in their habitat, they will explore. They're very inquisitive. Kinda cool watching him make his bed from the ripped-up paper towel I put in for him.........

That kinda opens up a lot of possibilities for you........... They carry pretty much everything needed to build.
