JollySipper replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Bobcats are no joke! Just don't try to bring it inside like this poor person did............... https://www.craigslist.org/about/best/ric/6881185958.html -
"Endless Rivers" by I. P. Daily is one of my favorite books that doesn't exist..........

Accumulated kits can be thinned out by BUILDING the darn things!

The Coyote X got it's final primer today! I would tell you guys that this is Rustoleum, but you might get upset! I'll be using Krylon for the color coats, so there's little worry of the paint attacking the primer...... I haven't sanded it yet, may do that this evening so it will be ready to paint tomorrow.

"Misery" was a movie based on a Stephen King book that featured the excellent actor Kathy Bates.

Tamiya spray cans banned in Canada!!!
JollySipper replied to Bullybeef's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You guys think that this will prompt Tamiya to offer their paints in small tins, maybe for certain markets? A lot of Tamiya users just decant it anyway........ They could bypass the whole aerosol issue all together! -

'Time out' just may be the worst punishment of them all..........

This is looking good! I hope it's okay, but I wanted to kind of warn you.......... This kit is a bugger to final assemble! There isn't any test fitting really, as I believe this kit was designed to go together once and stay. It does look good finished, though!

Matter of fact, some folks find fun in tedious detail work, where others enjoy throwing kits together in a rush......

JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Thank You Carl! Sometimes I use the drawing directly above with the Sunset as the wallpaper for my computer......... -
and it appears Keystone made a Torq Thrust looking wheel and a slotted one! Where did you find that link? That's the coolest site I've seen in a while!

I had a close encounter with a raven once as a child......... I was outside playing and one landed about three feet from me. It stayed there long enough for me to go get a fishing net to try to catch it with. It even let me put the net over it! When I lifted the net to carry it to show Mom, then it flew away......... I've been kind of obsessed with crows and ravens since. I read once that they carry our souls across 'the river'. -

AMT 68 Camaro
JollySipper replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How helpful would it be if you had a '69 Camaro from AMT? I have the Yenko version that I've only built the interior and engine....... The main chassis and body aren't painted. -
I remember my old man's Raiders, the center cap was held in place by a kind of concave disc that went from inside the wheel, and a screw went through that.......... The "K" was embossed into the center cap. Someone here surely knows if the center caps are interchangeable or not........
