Any Pets? (fish, dog, cat, etc..)
JollySipper replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
The ol' hammy enjoying a bit of carrot........... You can see that they are creatures of comfort! I rip up paper towels for him to use as bedding......... -
Now I'm reminded of my favorite Twilight Zone episode, the one where Burgess Meredith is sentenced to death by gas chamber, but was given one wish by the judge, so he wishes that the judge be in the chamber with him......

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
JollySipper replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
We would have a better variety of birds around if it weren't for the Mocking Birds.......... They run everything else off! They take on much larger birds than themselves, I've seen them run away a Vulture even......... I wish they would leave the Crows alone, they bring me peace! -
'Of Whales and Woe' is an album by one of my heroes, Les Claypool, that features the song about one-up manship, 'One Better'......

Ways to skin a cat are many, none of which are very popular with the cats.........

Chore lists in my teens definitely had me pushing a mower, along with tending to all our animals......

Hey, guys! I'm sure you're all familiar with this kit...... The '34 Ford that Round2 has now released under the AMT brand. This project was in waiting for a long time because I couldn't decide on a direction for it. Finally went mild custom. I shortened the bed, opened the cab, removed the hood sides, and added '59 Cadillac wheel covers and a '40 Ford steering wheel. The paint is Cordova Brown on the fenders and bronze wheel coating on the body parts. I cleared the fenders with engine enamel clear from VHT. Still need to decide on some rear lights, and I'm on the fence about adding a windshield...... Thanks for looking, and for letting me post this!

Made from Scratch: Personal Car Magazine

That's Cool.......... My favorite 60s Impala! Ours was white with a black bucket seat interior, 327/powerglide combo for motor-vation. I've wanted to build a replica, it would mean swapping a small block into Revell's SS kit............ I might get around to it yet. -
'Brothers and Sisters' is an album by one of my favorites, the Allman Brothers.............

That's cool...... you're an established publisher now! What's the scoop on the '66 Impala in the last issue? My parents had one when I was small, I remember it fondly........ -
All of my paint jobs are from an aerosol can..... It's all in knowing how to use the materials! This is all DupliColor. It looks decent enough to me.....

Looks like it may be based on a Stutz or something along those lines........

Why do you model?
JollySipper replied to Matt Bacon's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I like having the creative outlet, but the main reason I build, like others, is my love for cars, which also like others, began at a young age. I used to make Dad drive me around the county on the rural backroads to bother people into looking at the old cars they always had in their yard or barns... I knew every old classic car in this area! -

Ford never made a flatbread engine, it was actually a valve-inbred (I mean "in bread" ) engine......
-
I finally finalized the direction I wanted to go with this build........ The reason it has been an off-again on-again project is it lacked direction. Just need to mount the engine, then I can glue everything down for good. Forgive the dust, that will be cleaned before the Under Glass post, I promise!
