  1. That's sad to read, Carl my friend! I've said in the past, if there's anything I can do to help with your building, painting bodies for you, foil work, anything....... I was just thinking..... maybe a lump of Silly Putty or Play Doh might would hold your engine so you could assemble it!
  2. Thanks for the reply, Les my man! I was actually looking at the Alpina kits, but they seem to be pretty much all curbside. The Silver Arrow, huh? They're just like the BMWs, the older the better!
  3. 'Fore' heard at the golf course usually means 'duck and cover!'......
  4. Hey, fellow builders....... I was perusing around eBay looking to see what BMW kits they had. I look on the Bay to see if something exists, then maybe try to find it elsewhere to purchase..... Anywho, I ran across a lot of kits that I would have interest in from Fujimi. It seems this brand of kit is either an Enthusiast kit, or a curbside. There isn't a 'happy medium' in between. Am I pretty much spot on with this thinking? Maybe it's just the brand of car I was looking at that Fujimi chose to model that way? I've tried an Enthusiast kit, they're a bit much to take on for me. Anyway, just curious as to what y'all thought of this brand of kits and their detail level........... Thanks!
  5. Exhaust and mag wheels were definitely the Day 2 treatment........
  6. Emotions take effort to control, and that's too much...... um, effort.

  8. Mad Dog and Glory was a decent movie with a great cast...........

  13. Yet another pleasant morning with my wound-up puppy..........
  14. Driving used to be one of the things I loved to do, as we have a bunch of long windy roads in this county........
  15. Today I had an H1 Hummer pass by the complex..... It was a single cab with a pickup type bed. The bed had storage bins down either side. One thing I noted about it was how LOUD the thing was! There was a huge howling coming from it as it made it's way...... Was that the rear end maybe? or Some kind of induction for the engine?
  16. 'Question Authority' was the mantra of one very bright person, Mr. Leary, whose now on the outside looking in..........
  17. Child-age you must have been pulling stumps with those gears.............
  18. State your name, rank, and serial number, and nothing else, is what the GIs were told in case they were captured.........
  19. Ron, where's the engine pics? Everyone knows that the appeal of these old cop cars is that huge engine! I read somewhere that the CHP liked the 440 MoPar engine because it out-lasted all the other engines they tested at WOT. They dyno'ed a bunch of engines running them 'wide open' for an extended period. The Chrysler ones out performed the others.....
  20. I had to confront one of the neighbors here in the complex.......... She sits outside on her phone on speaker phone talking and laughing about me. The whole complex can hear her. It got to where I couldn't even walk the dog! I hated to have to say anything to her, because you can tell she has special needs. I just hope that I didn't make things worse for myself..... Some people refuse to lose........
  21. Bike tricks like the BMX riders do would be impossible on a penny farthing.........
  22. Here's an example.......... They call the album 'Morning View XXIII'. This is one of the better songs on the album, made better by the revamp.
  23. "Lips, hips, and fingertips........."
  24. So, Incubus released a new album a couple months ago...... It's a revamp of their 'Morning View' album. Sounds really good! It has a warmer, almost a 'live' sound compared to the original. You can tell it was recorded differently than the original, too. The parts that could only be done with editing tricks sound different, as they might would in concert....... Just wanted to give that heads-up to any Incubus fans we might have!
  25. (The) W.A.N.D. is a song by a favorite band of mine, the Flaming Lips........
