  1. Pete, man! I took your advice and downloaded the gimp program..... I read it's wiki before I did just to see if it would allow free-form drawing, and it does! I'm going through some tutorials on their site right now.......... Just thought you'd like to know I took your suggestion!
  2. Appearance packages were a way to try and sell what were once muscle cars that had had all the 'muscle' regulated out of them.......
  3. Pouring gasoline down the outlet side of a failing mechanical fuel pump will reprime it enough to get you home, or at least not stranded......

  5. Final clear and polish is done! Somehow I got fish-eyes in the first try at the clear, ended up sanding it all down, respraying the red, THEN clearing again! Went over everything with Novus polish....... Looks like I need to clean just a bit of residue.....

  9. My first car was an old Dodge Dart four-door six cylinder........... Wasn't the fastest or coolest car, but the slant six never let me down! It got me around until I was able to get what ended up being one of my favorite cars ever, my '80s Thunderbird. What became of the Ford pickup? That sounded like a nice truck..........

  20. Les, you should be familiar with this one........... 'When in doubt, throttle out!' It's saved my skin a few times on the driving game........
  21. There's a lot of eternal truths and ideas that are learned throughout your lifetime. One major one for me is this: If you're forcing something, you're doing it wrong........ That goes for everything, from mechanical work to building models, to relationships with other people. What would some of these ideas be to you guys?

  23. Hopefully most of us here will! I just wish I could have done it sooner. The clinic that I will be getting it done thru was so backed up that they didn't have an opening for a few months.......
  24. Guys, my doggo has 'the' appointment coming up on Wednesday........... I hate to do it to the poor fella, but it's in his best interest, I guess.
