  1. Well David, the question is 'What is retirement age' nowadays. I had to retire from work at 64 after an accident at work, that wasn't recognised by my management, and of course not witnessed! We had various safety issues over about 3 years due to our union rep and our health and safety rep being buddies nothing changed! My remote (based at another site) director, went potty, as there were certain jobs that only I was happy to do in our 12 person unit, but due to my injury, I wasn't able to continue (Walk). Funny really that 12 months beforehand 6 out of our 12 volunteered to a company wide redundancy call but none in our section were allowed to go. So I built a log cabin in the back garden £2k and have been out there ever since!
  2. Cheers Bob. Ken Block the owner of DC Shoes is the HOONIGAN. The man who sends out these various videos driving high powered loony cars (Mustangs, Escorts etc) calling them Gymkana's, round and through warehouses, aircraft hangers, across San Francisco bridge et al.
  3. Thanks beeRS, I bought it off an online shop here in the UK, so I don't know who cast it.
  4. Yes David I tried that once, building two or more at a time, but got lost so reverted to one at a time. Now retired I complete one about every 10 days or so.
  5. Thanks Anders & Mike.
  6. I've used Gedeo white plaster, and have the clear here but not used it. Using plaster with their blue moulding medium has worked very well on small items, seats, bomber seats, and surfboards. I say go for it! The black seat is a kit plastic and the surfboard with the scene on is a fridge magnet. I decal print various surfboard scenes now, and just paint the seats and attach with fast acting glues.
  7. Thanks again folks.
  8. Superb, my favourite sports car.
  9. Superb! I've seen that on Star Models/R&R site. does it come with the 'glass'?

  13. Thanks Sonny. Yes here's a few of the MK1, this must be at least 5 years old or more! The 'glass' came with it. I cut out the bootlid and the bonnet was already apart, and I made up the hinges with paper clips, and wired the spark plugs.
  14. The inspiration............. The body from this kit. The rest was used to complete a MK1 Escort resin bodied Rally Car. The clear body against a new Italeri Mk2 kit.... The result..................
  15. Thanks guys.I was originally looking at 'woodying' the white area, but when I took the masking tape off I thought a two tone would look good!
  16. Cheers Mike.
