  1. Built for Yokosuka Willow, from evergreen stock..
  2. Great kit. I saw Kenny in the day with his mate and ours, Barry Sheene, who was with us on the airfield marshal duty at Silverstone. Racing then with the fast two-stroke machines was fantastic!
  3. Thanks PappyD340. Still trying with weathering, it seems to work so far.
  4. Thanks bisc63. It's difficult to measure how much weathering to put on. I see the landspeeder on line today as their transport more on land than in battle.. I think that's the one.
  5. Finished, I hope I haven't over done the weathering/battle damage!
  6. Revell Snow Speeder 1/52 : A bit of paint and decals.. using an article in a Damaged magazine on a build of the Bandai 1/48 version. A bit more reading the article and some more colour detailing if needed, tomorrow.
  7. I got fed up with BMF, so just use the edge of a Molotow Chrome Pen.
  8. Good to see a true British sports car on here. I'm looking forward to the build up.
  9. Where I display my models on plexi shelves I have to put sheets of A4 size printer paper or the tyres stick to both glass and plexi-glass, so to me plastic tyres help. They can be painted black or sand to look as if they have been on the road. One kit I bought contacted me to warn about melting as other customers had to claim new sets of tyres due to partially melting and sticking to all manner of surfaces.
  10. Having had enough of cars at present. I've done some painting today on: Revell Snowspeeder & Valom Yokosuka K5Y2 Willow, Floatplane. And waiting for decals to be delivered: Hobbycraft DHC-3 Otter Floatplane: Qantas & RCAF Rescue.
  11. Hi Chappy. Here's a shot of the rear end.. And a side shot..
  12. A friend here in the UK who lives nearby ran one as his daily driver for a few years. I look forward to seeing this one.
  13. WOW! Well done. I'd seen them race on numerous occasions.
  14. Yes it's a nice kit, just a short rollcage, two seats on offer. Not super detailed interior. You have to shave off the lip around the wheel arches to fit the wide ones, steering works although in a tight area. It also has the 'back to front' tyre decals that I don't like.
  15. Not my best, but problems with paint/decals and small parts. Hopefully my painting hobby will take over soon.
  16. A bit more done, decals now on, the TMSCR on the drivers(other) side fell apart so part of the 'R' is missing. Test fit with body on, still little bits of paint to do, glass etc.
  17. Very lucky on your find! We don't have anything like this in the UK, most of it's rare and when you do find something it's super overpriced!
  18. A Hasegawa Toyota 1600 GT. A bit more paint to do and clean up the edges.
  19. It's annoying though that in one Vauxhall advert, it pointed out that it had a new Wi-Fi gizmo so that you can receive phone messages or send them anywhere you might be at any time. Now if that isn't irresponsible what is? And a self driving car isn't stupid well! On the news last year two guys in the states testing a Tesler were killed, setting the drive system to robot or whatever they got into the back seat to see if the car could self drive itself. Everything went great until it came to a sharp turn in a wooded area, the car didn't slow down, left the the road into trees and burst into flames. One of the 'passengers' left the back seat and went through the windsreen due to the force of the impact and was hilled instantly, the other rear 'passenger' could get out and burnt to death. I was going to say 'remind me not to get a Tesler' but I can't afford one anyway. '
