  1. Well I'm in the centre of England so away from the North and Scotland who due to Storm Arwen have had about 7 days of high winds, snow and no electricity! Our Government are trying to get us away from coal/wood and gas heating to all electric ground source heat pumps (about £15.000) and solar panels that have amazingly doubled in price! But of course if the wind doesn't blow the off shore wind farms can't supply any electricity as is the problem in Scotland. So our climate here is about 3 Celsius on and off. we've had two mornings at about freezing point but nothing too cold. We are lucky here as being right in the centre or what is called the East Midlands no really bad weather reaches us.
  2. Thanks Scott I hope the weather is not too bad where you are.
  3. Well thanks guys, I've had the most favourable replies ever!
  4. Thanks David for the heads up. I'll search 'How to enlarge photo's on my PC, to post on forums. Being over 70's neither of us have I Phones. We have dumb phones to make calls but are not interested in anything else, far too complicated as they always 'write' stuff in a language that's not English, it gobble de gook.
  5. Thanks guys. I have a couple of new pics today, The Team Photo and if your pushed for space in your garage you can always put the Bronco on the trailer!
  6. Hi the finished Bronco, trailer and buggy are on the completed thread.
  7. Yes just a slight coat of Acrylic colour sand brushed on! Acrylic dries on rubber enamel doesn't it wont dry.
  8. Right David, a few folks have commented on the pics being small. But as a non-techie who is 70+ how do I enlarge them?
  9. Thanks guys. Tom, I bought a kit from Scale Equipment years ago and have refurbed that as well. Pics to come. And here they are after a quick dash into the cabin in the garden where all is stored!
  10. All done. Shaky hands trying to do the side markers!
  11. It looks more like a 60's Ford Anglia 105E Panel Van.
  12. A different F1 car, the Aoshima Ogre AN-21
  13. Some 3D printed wheels and tyres plus brake disks which I've started painting. I chose these as they have off road/ rally chunky tyres, all of the others had smooth racing tyres.
  14. I took the windscreen off, fitted the roof unit and side windows and shaved the windscreen down to fit. Tried the Bronco roll cage/rear seat.
  15. Thanks very much guys! Merci Monsieur.
  16. I'm looking forward to this build and to get it on the road or track! Being in the UK (Rolls Royce) and having followed most of Ken's stuff this should another great project!
  17. Superb! A father and son team not far from here who build customer Porsche racers used to build these for Rothmans.
  18. Airfix were making a few British car kits, Ford Escort Mk1, Ford Lotus Cortina, Jaguar 420 Saloon & E Type, Vauxhall Viva, MGB, Triumph Herald, 1930 Bentley etc all in 1/32nd scale, that was in the late 1950's when I started building Spitfires and Hurricanes in 1/72nd scale. I don't recollect the Commer Van at all. They did make a very small diecast by Matchbox around that time. PS I've just found a 1/32 resin slot car body of the Commer PB Van on ebay UK, by dealer mOrris122. at £22 plus postage.
  19. Thanks David. It would still be good to see years although built some years ago. These are the first ones to be imported here to the UK along with the Roller. Hi James, no I used the acrylic clear red that is used for rear lights, just carefully brushed it on. Two light coats letting each coat to dry overnight.
  20. Is this a short wheelbase kit? If so I've been hunting for one as all the others (Revell) are long wheelbase.
  21. I was on the top deck in the front seats of a bust between Buckingham and Oxford and at some traffic lights we caught up with a Rolls Royce Cullinan, obviously with a private number plate. But even more interesting on the way home again around 2.45pm we caught up with a private plated Bentley Bentayga. Both I suppose higher priced than our 4 bed split level detached home!
  22. Superb! Thanks for the photo's.
