  1. Looking forward to progress too.
  2. WOW. YOU ARE BLOWING US AWAY !! That looks so good John. Looks like a lot of work. I hope the graphics I did do the paint justice.
  3. A couple minor updates. I made my first attempt at making a barrel valve. Got it painted and added some scrap photoetch pieces to the air scoop to hold both valves. I also have the brackets (top and bottom) to hold wheelie bars on. Now to make the wheelie bars like Ted showed in his video. Question to those who know - what is best to attach styrene to photoetch - super glue or epoxy?
  4. Awesome work John. That one is bound to win many trophies.
  5. BEAUTIFUL, INSPIRING work.
  6. BEAUTIFUL. You keep thanking us for looking when we're really staring and studying.
  7. Intake for.......................what did I miss? I've been trying to follow too many builds.
  8. Here's one result to the search............
  9. I believe the 599 GTO will be 1/24. I'll double check.
  10. Thanks Dave. Good references are always appreciated.
  11. Thanks Bill, but how can I get much done with the US Nationals on ESPN2? I have been doing some engine plumbing. Hope to post some updates soon. What are you working on?
  12. Gorgeous car. Thanks for sharing. I had to watch it more than once.
  13. Awesome work Romell. I guess whenever you have to check for detail accuracy you just go out to the garage to look at the real thing, right? Ha. I'm following your build. Great stuff. I see Revell Germany is coming out with the 599 GTO. I've got to get one.
  14. Absolutely. Send the pics. I'd like to see if they match up to the 7" length (with fittings) that the guy at Enderle told me.
  15. Just a hair over half inch tall and 3/16" wide.
  16. I like it Doc. The color looks great and the engine sits just right.
  17. Thanks guys. I appreciate your input. Barrel valves are next. My eyes will hopefully survive it. Maybe in 20 years I'll be doing work on your level of skill. I'll only be 78 then !
  18. Looks REALLY GOOD Chris. Looking forward to more.
  19. That is cool. It looks beefy enough to withstand some abuse, like chasing groundhogs around the fields.
  20. INCREDIBLE . Looking forward to more. Where do you find references for wiring and hoses?
  21. Awesome work and I know what you're talking about when you mention your eyesight. At 58 I deal with the same thing. I pray that your eyes and brain survive to build another 50 projects.
  22. Minor update - I dirtied up the fake arm by rubbing a little black wash on it and then rubbed some graphite from a 6B pencil on my fingers and put that on the arm. It stuck really good because I used flat white as a base. I also added some upper brackets for the wheelie bars, soon to be added. Thanks for looking.
  23. Looks great John. There's a lot I don't know about drag cars, too. Like how a shifter like yours works. Those of you who know, please tell me how a shifter like this works. Does the driver just push the buttons to go to a higher gear? What does the lever do? Go from forward to reverse gear?
