  1. Oh I'm sorry... Didn't realize my jaw was dropped for so long... Man this thing is a BEAUTY!!!!! I strive to have a Tuner like this... Unreal. Just UNREAL!!!!
  2. Looks pretty good considering. Have you tried using a q-tip or toothpick to help hold it place?
  3. Wow.. Some good stuff to know there. Thanks a lot.
  4. I was curious if anyone has tried Nu Finish on their models?
  5. If you ever get in a pinch, you can make your own modge podge by using 1 part white glue and 1 part water. You can adjust accordingly to make thicker or more liquid base.
  6. So I was watching Survivor (you could say I'm mildly obsessed) and here come this commercial from the gods. The Jaguar F Type. My instant thought was plastic. I'll probably never own a $80,000+ vehicle so I would love to own in a smaller scale. Here's the picture of the pure beauty. If you could be the deciding factor in what models where produced, what would it be?
  7. Is their a plastic model of a 1973 Malibu that anyone knows of? So far my search quest has came up empty but it's worth a shot.
  8. Yea I checked my Michael's today. That it what sparked it. Sadly, their selection was rather small. Must be the demographics. So 1 oz. can go a long way. I wont be using it on every model, just hear and there. Awesome. Thanks for the help guys.
  9. So I want to use embossing powder on a low rider build I will be doing shortly. Given all I can find is 1 oz. for like $4, how far does 1 oz. really go and can I find it either cheaper or bigger packaging?
  10. Hands down I would in a heart beat. I'm would LOVE to see the Ford Raptor released in a kit. Revell already has my Jeep (WOO HOO) and I also want to see a 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10. Another truck I would like to see in plastic is the Ford F650. Thing is massive in 1:1 so I could only imagine what it would look like scaled. We don't have very many trucks on the market. Given I know the demographics are weak for it but I feel like if they would make them, people would buy them.
  11. Agree'ed... I have not tried this but it looks great. Would really be ideal for the trim on models. Let us know how it does. Heck if it was that cheap might buy some myself.
  12. Got some more work done. Moving slowly on this. Feedback always welcome! Completed Chassis/ Engine (90%): Chassis: Completed Interior: Interior Cab Mock-Up:
  13. My biggest problem with my LHS is Customer Service. Last time I went to my LHS, instead of asking what kind of models I put together (since I was in the Model isle), both associates basically pushed me to look at their selection of Gas/ Electric R/C cars because they have an R/C track in front of the store. Not to mention, I know that from a business aspect, they obviously make more money on the R/C cars versus Little Ol' Model Kits. And when I ask them to order a kit for me, it seems like it ticked them off. Just like Larry said. I can shop the internet with ease, not have to worry about being bothered when I don't want to be or find someone when I have a question. Their is no pushiness to purchase something. Given I hate paying for shipping because it's unbelievably high, but with the cost of gas and driving a V8, it's worth it so I don't have to deal with traffic, other people, etc.
  14. Got a little bit of work done today. Feedback always welcome. Motor: Chassis/ Exhaust: Front Suspension:
  15. Lookin really good! Love the green. That Camaro is Hulkin Out!!
  16. So sorry to hear about your loss. Many prayers sent to you and your family.
  17. Hellva Nice!! Love the color/ wheel combo and stance. Great looking 86!!
  18. Picked up the Monogram Ford F250 Super Duty. Kit looks great. Unclear where I'm going with it overall but I'm putting a massive speaker box behind the bench seat to utilize the back space. Also thinking of scratch building a gun rack to put in the back glass. This will be one of those random builds that can go in all kinds of directions. So we will see. Here's what I got thus far: Boxed: Speaker Box w/ Speakers: Amps Installed: That's it for now. Should have some more done tomorrow. All opinions, suggestions, thoughts, questions, etc. are welcome. I always like feedback!
  19. Needles work too. Almost anything will work with this method... Just used the most obvious (and what almost everyone has) object.
  20. So I'm not entirely sure if this has been posted before, but if not, here it is. This is a genius idea. Although it is a genius idea... It is easily replicated and/or fabricated for almost no cost. There is two ways to go about doing this. I'll explain the second way at the bottom of the post. Using your pin vise, cut a small piece of wire (not sure on my size) and place in the smallest chuck for your pin vise. Tighten down like you normally would and you have this: Now, take your Super Glue bottle and squeeze some glue out on a piece of masking tape. The masking tape is used for easy clean up and so you don't get hard super glue clots all over your workbench. Once you have done so, you can now use the wire you put in your pin vise as a tiny glue applicator. After so much gluing, you get a small "Build Up" on the end of wire causing precision gluing harder. To solve this problem, simply use a lighter or candle to burn off the glue. This will leave you with a nice fresh tip. 2nd Way: All of the above steps apply to this technique as well except one change. Instead of using just a piece of wire, you can take the same wire and cut it a little bit longer. Fold it over end to end so you create a loop. You can use a pair pliers to make the loop smaller. Now simply follow the same steps by using your pin vise. Hope this helps. I know it helped me A LOT!
  21. Mark your calendars... On Friday, May 3 we'll be launching our mid year collection! It includes nearly 40 kits, including all new tooling, updated favorites, and some special retro releases you won't want to miss. Per Revell on Facebook. This should include the Jeep!!! WOO HOOO!!!
  22. Yea... I've tried the Craft Store Acrylic paint and it's no where near as smooth as Testors. I felt like it didn't have the "bonding" to the plastic and left horrible stoke marks. Now maybe some primer would help sticking better, but price versus aggravation, your best bet it spend a few more bucks.
  23. Awesome! Thanks for posting this.
