I bought some Dollar Tree Toothbrushes and cut/ burned all of the bristles off. I then glued some sandpaper (whatever grit you want) to the toothbrush. Once it wears out, you can either glue on another patch or tear it off.
You can buy 6 brushes for $1 so I keep a wide array of sandpaper brushes on hand for those hard to reach spots. Just my $0.02.
Off Topic works. No matter what, you're going to have those that don't read or look and just post where ever suits them. The joy of "supervising" a forum.
P.S. This ones for you Harry.
Kevin... This is what you use to tie flies. It's a Fly Tying Vise. Holds the hook in place via small vice so you can wrap the hook with rabbit hair and such to create your flies.
Woodworking, Cycling, Hiking, Fishing (Those flies look great James. I need to learn how to fly fish), Camping, Drawing, Movie Collecting, and... Well I'm sure their is more but that's the hobbies I partake in on a regular basis.
My GT-R has been sitting a 1 gallon bath of Purple Power for a full 72 hours and nothing has came off. Its not even showing signs of coming off after scrubbing. Has anyone else had this happen? Is it the enamel paint or is my Purple Power all powered out?
Great looking collection!! Looking at this only makes me realize that I need another room.
Great thought on spending the money on this hobby versus other bad things. Ammo for my next, "You Don't Need Anymore Models!!!"
Looks great! Love the orange. If you ever use rattle cans, you should check out Rust-Oleum's Real Orange Double Coverage paint.
I did notice that you're missing a radiator hose... I kid, I kid
First things first. Welcome to the site. You can find A LOT of people of who are willing to help you a long the way and answer any questions you have.
Second... I'm looking forward to this build as I've been thinking of building one myself. I too, have never done a wired motor although I want too really bad.
WAIT!!!! By putting a model in the freezer, it causes the Super Glue to release for a Rebuild?!?!?!?!?!
Since that's out of the way, I'm in for Choice #2 & #3. Love both sets of wheels.
Exterior Paint- I ALWAYS use Rust-Oleum w/ Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Coat. Almost perfect finish every time with minimal polishing for the deep mirror finish.
Interior Paint- Testors as of right now. Given, I have heard that Tamiya is AWESOME to Brush on painting.
Here is a picture of Rust-Oleum Gloss Black Double Coverage. Flat Black base, 3 cover coats. No polishing, no clear coat, just Gloss Black.
