  1. Got these off of E-bay. The guy shipped Quick. Purchased them Monday and they arrived today!
  2. I started gathering my equipment when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hardly a "Dark Sky" location, although within a hour there were locations that allowed for reasonable viewing. Might I suggest (if you haven't already) look for local Astronomy Clubs and go to Star Parties if they have them. If you get lucky they'll have a Telescope Loaner program that'd allow you to try out different types and sizes of scopes prior to layin' out your hard earned cash. Were I to be limited to 1 Scope I'd have to go for a 10" F-6 Dob mounted Reflector. really good all around size and f-ratio.
  3. Oh, I got them also . along with a Celestron First Scope 80 and a TeleVue Pronto I've got this: Now if you want t talk 'bout reflectors thee's several of those here also.............
  4. Any DVD / Blu-Ray Player should be able to also play CD's But I prefer my old Record Player and Vinyl 12" Albums!
  5. Well now I've got 2 things that pleased me today, n this news was the best of the 2.

  7. Warmed up a tad, as it was 72 when I took thiis shot this morning.
  8. Interesting choices Phillip. Not the most common medium, and an uncommon WW2 Aircraft on top of that.
  9. Now that is Wild! And very well done. Good Job Lloyd.
  10. Nice setup. When you choose to get serious here's the set I use They're Miyauchi Bj100iBF's
  11. And unless you can see the car painted with the original paint in person, all Books and the Net will do is get you in the Ball Park. So short of scoring a can of the paint used to paint the 1:1 Car, do your best to get as close as you can. But for Mecum Blue I'd sugess Cadillac Argyle Blue as that seems to be the most commonly referenced color.
  12. Thank You Carl
  13. And that Pleased You? Do you have cloven hoves hidden inside your shoes
  14. Carl I'd say the result was worth the effort. Well Done!

  17. I'm sure not knockin' Fords Win and infact am Really Glad they Won, but were it not for wavers they would not have been in the Race! So a Big Thank You goes to all the Manufactures Ford beat for their permission to run.
  18. Well Mike good thing 'bout that Therometer is you'll never get hotter than 120!!
  19. The Coverage of the 24 Hour Le Mans Race. Starts off 1 hour after the race started, 2 segments startd with 1/2 hour of Mixed Martial Arts (I guess) and the last 2 hours got zapped be some Golf match. Maybe they did, but I don't recall seeing any update to the Sched during the Race. But even if they did the Golf thing coulda been shown on FS2 so those that had taken the time to set Recorders a week earlier could have watched the Parts of the race they chose to show us..................
