  1. Thanks again everyone. I really wanted to build a '40 Ford Woody, but such a beast does not exist to my knowledge. The Revell '48 Woody looks like a quality kit, but I just don't like the grill for that year. Besides, I scored this one for $12 delivered. Even the colours did not come out how I wanted, really satisfied with the end result.
  2. Looks good-love everything about this one Excellent job on the paint. Nice colour choice too
  3. I'm sure if you wait long enough, it will be rereleased. Seems to be the trend from AMT lately.
  4. search headlight tint on eBay. Thousands of hits & vendors. "metrorestyling" is the seller I bought mine from.
  5. Nice use of the magnet! Does a good job of looking like a "reclaimed" sign for the roof. Are you going to enter this bad boy in the Rat Rod Community build?
  6. Looks like you nailed this one!
  7. That's a good look'n T/A! Got to be one of my favorite body styles for teh F-Body. My uncle had the 1:1 in Metalic Blue. Just don't see that many of them anymore. The color you used suits the subject very well - good job!
  8. FYI-I use peel 'n stick vinyl window tint "samples" or cuts for headlights sourced from eBay. Cost probably the same, but lot less mess. Plus-guaranteed even coverage every time. Bought a $7 roll 3-4 years ago, probably will last me a lifetime
  9. Thanks everyone for the kind feedback. Not sure if Harry is saying he likes yellow, but I think that may be the most positive(?) post he's made on any of my builds. OK-least critical .... Lol
  10. Nice work Love the color combination!
  11. Can't say that I mind the BMF all that much-gives me almost instantly gratification. Using it cranks up the "wow" factor. Case in point, the BMF job on this build really takes it to the next level. Good work
  12. Nicely done! The conversation suits the car well & I'm jealous of your painting skills
  13. Its more or less a box stock build of the AMT '41 Woody, as a way to practice making realistic wood grain and execute a concept I had floating around in my head. Not normally a fan of AMT kits and this build reminded me why: 2/3 into the build, I realized that the sealed kit I started out with was missing BOTH side windows and 3 of the 4 wheel inserts needed to attach the wheels to the chassis. I improvised, but needless to say, I was disappointed. Also lowered slightly the front suspension and I'm glad I did - the stance would have looked like a vintage Gasser if I had left it alone. I've already had feedback on my build thread that some of you think the colors don't go well together or that the wood is too dark. Don't really care - I'm happy with the end result and I must say, it looks fairly close to the reference pic that I set out to create.
  14. This build is now finished!
  15. Excellent start - The Parts Box is an excellent source, for, well, uh, parts! I have a few stalled builds I would like to finish, but then I'll be back in the Rat Rod game lol....
  16. You’re going to put some sort of wheelie bars on this, right? Looks like a good headwind would flip this on its lid lol.
  17. Added some chrome parts and BMF. A few more pics before final assembly...
  18. I like your version much better than kit stock - keep up the good work!
  19. Night and day comparison! Job well done
  20. Nice colour choice! This is a great kit. Like my first one so much, I ordered another two! Can't wait to see the end result
  21. Cool build. Can't go wrong with a period correct Deuce!
  22. Nice progress !
  23. Nice thr color suits the car real well
  24. Good look'n build & good color choice.
