  1. I'm really digging this - keep up the good work!
  2. Well, that answers the question "what ever happen to...." glad to see you take on the build once again. Trying to inspire myself to finish some shelved projects as well - keep up the good work. To much imagination and effort in this one to not finish.
  3. Nice work. very impressed with how realistic the gauges in the centre console look, amongst other things
  4. Well done! definately one of the better built versions of this kit that I've seen.
  5. The lines from the '37 Ford street rod make for a nice build. Excellent colour choice !
  6. Absolutely nailed this one!
  7. Could not have said it better myself. Makes me wonder tho - with the "Moon" tank on the front of the grill and the engine/Nitrous tanks out back, what's under the hood?
  8. Gerry - that is a good idea. As a matter of fact, I did compare the Monogram body of the early '90s release to that of the Revell California Wheels issue last fall - the dimensions look to be exact, just better casting with the Revell. In theory, the chassis could be adapted with very little effort. Unfortunately for me, when I was building my Revell issue, I did not have any plans or ambition for the Mongram kit yet. Perfect world, I'll use up the Monogram kit without buying another Bel Air kit. I'll have to check the Revell car when I get home to see if that has the exhaust molded into the floor pan......
  9. Excellent detail with the seat springs and open engine block!
  10. Cool start. Can't wait to see more....
  11. Don't mind at all. Part of what makes this a good canvas for this theme is that tis kit includes decals like the "rivets" and "mouth", amongst other things. Actually surprised you don't see more of these being built.....
  12. Thanks, but that is not exactly what I had in mind. This eBay listing is for the Pro Street chassis with the wheel tubs and 4-link rear. What I'm looking for is the "regular" chassis, less the exhaust pipes. Its better suited for the vintage Gasser look I'm after.
  13. I remember seeing a Tri-Five floor pan/chassis for sale not all that long ago. It was made of resin, and was offered as a replacement for the Revell/Monogram kits to delete the mufflers and exhaust pipes molded in the kit stock version. The description said that it would fit the '55 (including the Badman kit), '56, '57, and Nomad kits. I seem to recall that it was listed on eBay, but I’m not 100% certain. One thing is for sure, I haven't been able to find it again. Anyone have any leads as to where to find this gem? I have plans to build a '57 Gasser, and this would be a good part to add to the parts list. That's assuming that the price + S&H isn't extravagant! Guess I can always break out the Dremel and modify the kit stock, if needed, but I thought I would ask first. Thanks!
  14. Don't know how you do it, but EVERY detail looks like the 1:1! Great job on the black tinted head lights - they realy suit the "look".
  15. Nice work - you nailed this one! The interior work, paint fiinish on the wheels and exhaust look as real and accurate as I've seen on this kit.
  16. Nice - you nailed the metal colors of the engine. The only two examples I've ever seen in person had a balck engine bay with polished valve overs and air cleaner. Not sure if that was OEM acurate of not....
  17. Thanks - I've been wanting to build an ‘ole ‘Rod now influenced by the WWII P-51 Mustangs for a while now, and the new Revell kit is a great canvas for that.
  18. Great start!
  19. My own little kit bash of the New Revell '30 Ford Coupe. The pics are a quick mock up of the build. Unfortunately progress has been delayed as I'm waiting for parts and supplies to arrive.
  20. Nice work! As a former ITR owner, got to say that this one is tastefully done.
  21. Nice! Some real creative interpretations of this kit here
