  1. Nice weathering! Glad to see you left the hood scoop off.
  2. Nice work - love the conversion and the personal story behind it. Some times as a builder, the personal connection helps deliver better results. There were a few interesting products released by Ford Canada in that erra. I remember my father in-law told me that Ford Canada was its own company back then, producing models under liscense from FoMoCo until '55-'57 (I think). Models like the Meteor allowed Ford Canada to use the same parts bin and tooling, while reducing the licensing fees in needed to pay back FoMoCo. Never research this myself to see how much of this is accurate, but it does seem plausible. Again-nice work!
  3. Bonneville or BUST! Couldn't resist posting pics of the crew
  4. Very cool! Can't wait to see more
  5. Here we go again! My next entry - '31 Ford Model A Sedan + Jimmy Flintstone chopped '30 Sedan body This build will be more "mild" in comparrison to my last. Going for a similar highboy stance to this pic:
  6. Now there's a transformation! Doesn't get any more Rat than that
  7. I like where this is going. I have the same kit in my collection for the same purpose. The chassis looks like a good foundation for that sort of thing. Was beginning to wonder why no one else was attempting this. All said, my build was going to go in another direction than yours and I can't wait to see more. Looks like you're off to a great start!
  8. That makes two of us! I could retire a wealthy man with a panther pink Hemi 'Cuda in the garage excellent work
  9. I like the progress!
  10. That color is perfect! the bodywork has come a long way.
  11. Looks great. I've seen those wheels before-where are they from?
  12. Excellent work! Nice trick photography too
  13. I can't get over how flawless this build it! Needless to say-job well done
  14. I find a new appreciation for you efforts ever time I look at the pics. Just noticed the steering wheel-did you source that from the AMT '53 Ford P/U? It looks identical to the one I just used in my '29 Rat Rod. Talk about polar opposites......
  15. Thanks Randy. You can see better pics poster in the "Under Glass" section
  16. This one is far from flawless - but thank you all the same!
  17. Looking great!

Thanks a lot for the compliments. The header wrap isn't really a secret since I got the tip from this site anyways. It's just a piece of masking tape cut into strips. The only trick is to use a dab of super glue at the ends, otherwise it will unwrap on you over time.
  19. or no scoop at all.... A tunnel ram intake sticking out of the hood would suit the gasser look.
  20. Looks real nice to me. Not a huge fan of the body style, but I like everything about this truck.
  21. Looks good to me-I'd be proud to own the 1:1! The wood bed looks good too.

That's a tough one to answer-totally a builders preference. You can flip through some old Hot Rod articles for ideas. A straight 6 or diesel off the top of my head would be different. I used an Offy from a Kurtis Midget in my T roadster. Don' want to give away all my ideas lol
  23. BMF is extremely thin & easy to cut into strips. I would suggest reading/watching some tutorials so you know the ins and outs. It will dull knives and scissors quickly-it is metal material. The best way to get familiar with the stuff is to buy some an try it out.
