I had two old (20 years) lamborghini models the paint was very hard to get off (can't remember what kind) after a week in csc 95% of the paint was gone but when I tried to wash them they were so britle they just abuot shattered in my hand. could this have been caused by the castrol or was it just old age, or a combo of the two?

those are pactra brand paints made for r/c car bodies. I haven't used them myself but I understand they can damage model car bodies because they are not the same material. You might be able to use them if the model is primed and sealed though someone else here should be able to tell you for sure though. if you don't get an answer in a few days try a new topic asking about pactra paints. I just did a 67 xxx gto with duplicolor mirage that changes from blue to purple (package calls it blue and red) that looks pretty cool check it out in the under glass section.

or it thinks it's a hood ornament on a mack truck.

thanks everyone. the color is duplicolor mirage red and blue (more like purple and blue) it came in a kit with black base coat and clear.

id4 is first time useig airbrush on models ( old vega junkie little compressor) alien is entirely hand painted except for the dome which is testors trans. black tint. thanks for looking all comments welcome.

did this one about 6 years ago I kept knocking off the torches moving it for the pics, first attempt at flocking came out pretty good, wood grain done with furniture repair crayon.

another of my most recent builds once again o.t.b. flocked floor , bare metal foil trim (need to work on that more) paint is dupli color mirage.

thanks ron. the ripples are real caused buy ca glue and lack of good sanding sticks does kinda give it an realistic look though. the trim is paint model masters chrome silver. glad you like it thanks again for looking.
