  1. Yeah, they aren't exactly loved here either but I do have a soft spot for the plywood variety.
  2. Make sure that the output of the adapter is putting out 12.5 V and 10A in DC and not AC, if it is DC Bill says you might have something there.
  3. Nothing you have puts aout the right amount of juice to get optimal performance out of this motor. Take it to Radio Shack and see if they sell an AC adapter that that puts out what this thing needs. It will have to put out 12V DC but if the amps are a little high they can show you how to wire in a fuse that won't let it draw too much current.
  4. If you know a diabetic that has to inject their medicine you could always get a fresh hypodermic needle to fill it, watch out they're SHARP! If you are good friends with you're doctor you might could even talk them out of one, I talked my dentist out of a dozen used dental implements a few years ago.
  5. He sells under the name castenparts on ebay. I had spoken with him about two weeks ago, he said he was moving and would be out of the loop for a little while.
  6. Man I love Mosquitos, it's good to see another one brought back.
  7. I'm not exactly a Cuda expert, someone is going to have to point out the problem because I just don't see it. The height of the bulge looks fine to me, it looks like over an inch on the actual car.
  8. Tell her that at least you're home and not cavorting with drunkards and strippers.
  9. To build them where they won't fall apart you need three sizes of tubing that all fit inside each other. First, take the biggest and smallest tubes and decided how long your part needs to be. Once that is found you take the middle size tube and cut two thin rings out of it. One ring goes at the top of the small tube and the other goes at the bottom of the big tube, super glue them in so they can't come out. Now when everything is dry you can drop the small tube through the top of the big tube and the rings won't allow the small tube to fall out. Add your spring and complete as normal.
  10. The police versions could still be had with the ten hole wheels but you are correct that for a stock open market LX the wheels are incorrect.
  11. That looks really good, one day I will finish mine...
  12. The first model I ever built was Mark Martins #6 Folgers Tbird, finished in a whirlwind two days with no paint, no decals, and almost a whole tube of red glue. When it was dry enough to pick up without parts falling off I took it into the hallway and reenacted all of those great old NASCAR wrecks, complete with the shower of dislodged parts. It's rare that I finish anything now, mostly due to lack of a permanent work space and nowhere to dispaly the finished product. I hope to change that soon as if I don't eventually finish something I will run out of room to buy new stuff.
  13. Is the Model King short bed going to have a full issuing so it doesn't shoot straight to $100 for available kits like the 79 reissue did?
  14. Yeah, those are pretty sad compared to what AMT and Moebius are doing.
  15. I believe it does but as it stands now it will have the Caddy engine from the 49 Mercury custom kit.
  16. Are there any big ticket kits you want? It might be a good time to kit that spendy kit you've been jonesing for, especially if you will have other money coming in occasionally to buy kits at regular prices.
  17. I would say those you posted do not connect to the cab. If they did you would have to remove the beds in the truck sleeper to get in to it and you would have to disconnect it every time you needed to raise the cab. Those dromedary sleepers can be optioned all kinds of ways but I believe those shown are seperate from the cab.
  18. I hope Moebius does a 73-79 next since so many parts from the 71 can be used and it will hopefully have a correct regular longbed and not the rare Camper Special option.
  19. I believe that all previous R/M Fox Mustangs are 1/24th scale and all 1/25th scale versions have been the lackluster AMT/MPC versions. The City of Gastonia NC had one of these black and white, phone dial wheels, slick top, it had the City of Gastonia logo on the doors and said "TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT" right above it. Here is a picture of it just before the police auction
  20. That is one sharp looking rig, very nice!
  21. I like your idea, that way you get some variety in what you can haul.
  22. You don't happen to live near Canton NC do you?
  23. That thing is going to be the shizz with the Beall tanker behind it!
