  1. They are part of the Hemi car pkg. Including auto cars, which would have the 8-3/4 rear axle ( plus some additional welded in bracing and gussets ) But its well documented that a lot of cars ( even 340 cars ) have been found with them. They were supposed to be on all convertibles .
  2. enclosed torque boxes are part of the Hemi suspension...also found on some big block cars. As far as the front K member.....the only difference is The sway bar design was different between 69 and older versus 1970 and later
  3. 1968 Color Me Gone charger funnycar 1967 Camaro Pace car 1968 Torino pace car Johan 1969 and / or 1970 GTX Johan 1959 and / or 1960 Fury Kenz and Leslie Cougar funnycar Rupp and Steffy Cougar funnycar Johan Eddie Schartman maverick
  4. For me it depends on A - the finish I'm trying to replicate / achieve B - the quality of the finish/ gloss I ended up with straight out of the can . If I feel like its slick enough to rub out without too much effort I don't clear it. there's no clear on this .
  5. I HIGHLY recommend the Missing Link grille. I have a few of them and they fit the Lindberg body perfectly ( never tried one in a Johan body )
  6. Same here. If it cant be built stock - via right out of the box or with minimal amount of parts interchange with the current 68-69 Charger kit. I'm not interested
  7. Some of the Revell kits designed back in the sixties were the hardest to me. I remember trying to build I I remember was a red white and blue Panel it was a gasser I think,,,,, best I can remember it ended up in the trash ( after it went thru the crash and burn process )
  8. I usually use super glue . put glue on the body with a tooth pick,,,,, then using tweezers set the part on top of said glue. Once done my builds go in the case to rarely ,if ever to come back out. So issues while handling is not a problem for me
  9. Any one know details. ? Saw this posted on a Facebook group I belong to
  10. I like it. especially the color And I was surprised when this kit was announced it WASN'T a slant six . I have a couple of the Lindberg slant sixes ,,,, and was thinking about doing a green on green sedan with it
  11. Ever thought about your stash ( built or unbuilt makes no difference ) and took a good look at it? To ck the newest model it represents. (I'm not talking about the year the kit was produced ) . Simply the year it represents or replicates. I was down in the family room / stash area this morning looking for something and it hit me. I think the newest one in mine is about 1974 or 75 and even its a slant nose Vega funnycar . So whats that say about me,,,,,,,,I'm old . lol
  12. Agreed, a major portion of mine are never painted - unpainted bare plastic. , some are painted and stripped ( bought them that way ) I do have a few that are still in paint,,,,,and even most of them look to have been painted when they were new . And I've bought A LOT of builtups in the past 2 years and not one came from said seller . Outside of maybe 1 or 2, I have no worries about body and/or paint issues on any of them. So IMO if its already in primer chances are theres a reason . I screw up enough on my own ,,,I dont need any one elses help doing so. Ps, to get this back on track, I for one would LOVE to see a board or even just a sub forum on this board on nothing but old screw bottom annuals ,,be them stock or customs from back in the day
  13. Someone was / is ? doing the body to replicate this car. But good luck finding decals for it .
  14. Jet black 1969 Camaro rallye sport ragtop. 396 4spd.
  15. There was a member here that bought one of his restored builders. In a pm we talked and he didn't seem to be to impressed with the quality . He's had a few kits that were on my want list. But they've always sold for more than I was willing to pay. Thats the nice thing about Ebay, if you miss out on one ,,,just be patient ...... there WILL be another one along shortly. I guarantee it
  16. Unless the vendor in question has earned my trust to give them some leeway on time / delays ( and I can count them all on one hand ) Mad , Missing link , Speed City Resin , Slixx and Modelhaus are my top 5 Otherwise . my order better be in my hands prior to the time limit I can file a dispute with my credit card company
  17. The one local to me still has a pretty good selection Florence ky. They had a bunch of the lindberg color me gone dodges. And the polar lights grove mustang. I bought 5 of each. also bought a few of the Little red wagons ( they don't have many of them ) May go back and get more tomorrow nite They also had a bunch of the ford crown vic police cars , Yellow Chargers. etc etc. Plus a bunch of military stuff , tanks , planes , some ships that was of zero interest to me I did buy one of the black beard sailing ships ( its was cheap enough )
  18. I use what ever / wherever i can get the color i want
  19. Yep, same here.,,,I refuse got caught up in the feeding frenzy called Ebay . A few months back I was after a builder 1959 Fury kit. I bid my max $125 ( I already knew its not a cheap one to find ) at the last minute and got the message you been outbid. I watched it sell for over double that.,,,yes for a builtup Over the next few weeks, a few more come on,,,same deal sold for more than my max . Then one day a vendor I have dealt with a few times lists one. Looks pretty nice and clean builtup in the box. I got it for right at $130 delivered to my door. postage and all.
  20. Thanks. I know i've seen them somewhere.........but for the life of me cant remember who or find them anywhere.
  21. Everywhere I've searched ( all the above so far ) All I can find are the ones to do the 62 Impala, the 65 Comet or the Corvair Nothing for the 64 Plymouth
  22. Well, I heard back from Dave at MCW. He no longer has the decals to the 64 car. ( even when I he had them they were sold with a resin sedan body only ) He does have some to do the 1963 car ( very similar ) But sadly will ONLY sell with one of his resin bodies So the search continues , I want to do the Hayden Proffitt 1964 Max wedge car using the Lindberg 64 Plymouth hardtop
  23. its pretty easy in life If you dont like the price. Dont buy it........i doubt anyone is holding a gun to your head to buy it
  24. I just sen them an email. so we'll see how it works out. The way its stated on there site, decals are only sold with the resin 1964 Plymouth sedan body., But I want to do the early 2 door hardtop / max wedge car
