This is very true. But put them together,,, from what ? Mopar used vin designations to determine what engine the body had . And that vin starts with RO for a Belvedere sedan and WO for a Coronet sedan . But by VIN they are not Hemi cars. Just cars with a Hemi in it . Anyone have or know the vehicle identification number for any or all of the above 4 cars .Did they start life as a body in white like the AFX cars did, or were they cars pulled from the line destined to be something else ? I dont know .

Some pretty good ones in the Johan recharged kit. edit, didn't the old issue of the MPC 66-67 charger had some Mickey Thompson cheater slicks in it ?. if so they are slightly bigger than the Johan version

If you have the broken pieces, it'll be an easier fix than you think. If you have the broken pieces and don't want to fix it, pm me I would be interested in it

gtx6970 replied to fiatboy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've used it on the last 2 builds I completed. I like it much better than flocking. to me its more realistic. -

The buddy of mine whom recently sold his 65 Pace car, it was a 383 2bbl. And I assure you. the car was no slouch . -
I plan to go out today to pick up the new Melrose Missle 65 Plymouth ,, plan is put it right on the bench to get it built . I'll probably wait and pick up the Butch Lean car for the sedan ,,,,,,,,,I for one sure hope dozens of various decals get produced for these 2 bodies. How about John Petrie, Jack Werst, Johan Hagen, the Ferris Motors car, The Fenner Tubbs car, the Arlen Vanke car Decals by Lucas has them to do the Chuck Ostrich car . Anyone know of any others currently avail. ?

Talent+Skill+a LOT of Hard Work

Very cool. I think the GTO is THE best looking sports car ever made. There's a shop near me currently building a Testarossa replica for a client . Its been a slow process due to funds ,,,but they think the car might be done maybe next year or the year after. Ever single panel on it is hand made . over some Ferrari chassis and drive train,, just not sure what -

1965 Plymouth Fury. Update, 7/27, WHEW!

A really good friend of mine just sold his 1965 Fury Pace car convertible to a guy in the Grand Rapids MI area. He had owned it for a few years ,,,drove the snot out of it . He just felt it was time to move on and concentrate on his 67 Coronet RT convertible project. I am on the hunt for a clean builder 65 convertible kit to replicate it . I've already done his 55 Chrysler 300, 70 Charger, 69 Dart 383 , and his 68 Coronet RT vert. Planning to do his orange Superbird soon -
what is masking paper ? I had thought about the cling wrap idea before,,just never tried it . Makes me wonder how well it will seal along the edges ,,,. I have a sox and martin duster build coming up REAL soon and I don't want paint bleeding under tape lines ,,and the thought of painting clear on it first to me sounds like its just going to make a thicker edge

NNL WEST 2017 - "777" Theme
gtx6970 replied to curt raitz's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
How about 777 ? -
The Color Me Gone version has the max wedge engine only. And as mentioned, I think only the 64 Plymouth kit had the slant six as an optional engine in it ???????

I could go on for days with the stuff I've bought in the past year or 2. Nothing newer than 1962 and I bet most if not all of them were built pretty close to when they were released -
Its not that I dislike them, quite the contrary actually. I just choose to support my local hobby shop(s) first if I can I will go in a HL if they have something I need ( and need it now ) and my LHS doesn't have or can't get in a reasonable time frame . OR like I said when I have a 40% off coupon. I actually picked up one of the re-issued Ford race car hauler trucks a while back ,,with the discount it was about the same as any online retailer I found for the same kit Back over the winter I bought a bunch of the discounted metal signs for my down stairs family room re-model project.
-
I rarely go on the one near me. when I do its with a discount coupon. I am one of the lucky ones. I have to decent hobby shops with a 15 minute drive and I prefer to support them if I can . Be it new kits or supplies . I haven't bought any newly released kits online in probably 2 or 3 years ( bought a BUNCH of old annuals though )
