Ummm, no thank you

I tried a clear blue over the pearl and didn't like the look. It lost all the pearl effect. SO I painted it what it looks like in the few color pictures I have or could find of the car, pearl white. I know film bleaches some colors out. But in my spoon test the clear blue over pearl white didn't work so well ,,,at least not for me. To me it made it look like a plain dirty white .. and in the trash can the spoon went . As far as the the better version, this versus the Batmobile? Its a no brainer. The Batmobile wins every time. But it has nothing to do with over all design. Its because its was Batmans ride But to be honest I like them both ,,,a lot . and feel the Futura was one of if not THE BEST design study / show car of its time . But then I think some of the earlier / late 40s show cars were pretty nice as well.

Anyone know if the decals to do this car are avail ?

I think its the color. I had a heck of a time getting my phone camera to focus on it. Its most definitely a pearl white in person. If it ever quits raining around here,,,I'll get it outside and try to use my actual camera on it in natural light. ( after It dries up enough to mow my grass)

Well, I can say I've managed to get another one out of the unfinished pile and into the display case,,,finished. One of the re-issues from several years ago. Lots of waves and sink marks in the body needed work . Painted in Tamiya pure white,, followed by Testors white lightning, then 3 coats of Testors wet look clear. Its not perfect by any means. But overall I'm happy with it. I've wanted one done and in my case for many years. Comments or criticisms more than welcome, I'm a big boy and can take it . Thanks for looking in

R+R used to make a notch back Barracuda . But with Ray passed, it might require a little luck finding one ,,,but anything is possible -
Ok, an update as this one is nearly complete. Thought I would snap off a few pics before heading out to the garage for the day . . Interior is done and in the body for the last time,,,, Although I'll touch up a few little places before I call it finished . Tires are painted ( that's not fun btw ) sprayed satin black then masked off with bare metal foil then spayed a semi gloss white for the sidewalls ) rear bumper + tail lights are in and Side mldgs are on the one side. If all goes well today. I might be able to finish it tonight after dinner

Ah, in Jersey I see. I know of a few pretty quick A12 cars in your neck of the woods ( a green one and a black one )

All Mopar big blocks ( includes Hemi ) Distributor is in the front and wired up counter clockwise on all B / RB Mopar engines.
-
FYI, the above pic is not correct. #1 cylinder is drivers side front, not pass side on ALL mopar V8 engines . All even # cylinders are on the pass side . and all odd # cylinders are on the drivers side ( #1, 3, 5, 7 are drivers side + #2,4,6,8 are pass side ) These might help . And yes the Hemi is 18436572,,Actually all Mopar V8s are the same http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=426+hemi&id=C7D9E05474EF4C233CC23F201355B8139856C058&FORM=IQFRBA

WOW, I like it. I see your sits just as low as mine. I have mine sitting on all 4 wheels now and keep looking at it , thinking it sure looks low. But yet, I look at pics of the actual car and in one of the pictures I have, the top of the door isn't even waist high . So I guess I'll leave it as is .

OUTSTANDING !!!!!! Love the color combo . now I want one for myself.

just as an FYI, the air cleaner is for crossram Hemi only . Which obviously the Fury was never avail with . I have a few sets of the fender well headers but none are chrome . They might be something I need later on down the road

i had thought about doing just that...but the glass doesnt sit perfectly flat/flush all the way around. So my fear is the front or rear section will not sit flat and not allow the center to go back in and look good/right.

same view on the actual car

What ya think, glue the glass on , or leave it loose to see the interior ? So far I think it looks pretty good ( maybe not 100% accurate but close enough for my case ). Interior is almost done. I need to come up with some round decals to replica what I think is the speedometer and a compass on top of the instrument panel. Then a dab of clear Elmers glue to top them off.

As far as I know all the Revell 1969 Camaro kits are all the same basic kit with drivetrain , hood and wheel changes -
Looks outstanding. Hopefully you don't mind, but Hemi Darts never had power brakes. Otherwise it looks dead on an as delivered LO23
