  3. too funny. That car was my exact thought when read about the wiper motor complaint
  4. Really like the color combo. These cars were so ugly.......they're cool
  5. The fact it says fast dry time. I Bet its laquer

    56 Chrysler 300

    VERY nice looking car.
  7. Thats fine,,,,if you want to build a 1966 GTO. If you want to build a 67 GTO, the MPC kit is all there is . I have a few put back for a rainy day. But , as mentioned don't condemn an entire brand on one kit.
  8. Update the current 1967 GTX into a 1966 Satellite ,,still baffles my mind why this hasn't been done either via Revell or the aftermarket The current 1968 Dart to a 1970 - 72 Dart ( probably not cost effective considering all the mods required to do this one ) 1971 Cuda off the current 70 Cuda kit 1958 Ford off the current 1957 kit ( preferably a sunliner ) I like the 1969 Trans am idea
  9. I use pretty much these exact same bin boxes. Picked them up at Home Depot. I had bought one from Harbor Freight and it kept breaking the handles off the drawers,,so it went in the trash can and I went back to the ones from Home Depot. Also, the back wall of my work bench is 2.5 ft tall and 6 ft long pegboard with those moveable metal pegs and I have all kinds of little baggies , trinkets and even a few bare model bodies hanging off the pegs. Makes it super easy to find things at a glance. I also use it for hanging exhaust systems that are to long to fit in the bin boxes.
  10. Very cool . I haven't been following along as close as I should. Looks like I need to change that I never knew this existed in real life. I really really like this build
  11. I remember there was a big hullabalue quite some time in the past about the Cady decal sheet being the wrong color. Now I'm not so sure they were/are wrong. A couple days ago ,,,, I snagged a picture off the net and the door lettering is most definitely a different color than the accent stripe color Will post it later this afternoon
  12. Fixed it for you. I've already told my LHS, I want the 1st case in the door . I'm going to skip the currently avail Belvedere and just wait for this one
  13. Favorite kit and or subject matter. Hands down the MPC 1972 Vega funnycars,,,especially the Pat Foster driven Barry Setzer car. I built one of these many years ago when they were new. I had to build another one when I bought a clean builtup ( have since bought 3 or 4 more ) Plus I have a mint in the box unbuilt ,,that will stay that way.
  14. If there is one in the pro street coronet. I may have an extra one if someone needs it
  15. Stopped back in the one near me today. Picked up 2 more of the Color Me Gone kits. and a Meyers Manx kit ( for the price I couldn't pass it up. ) I wanted more of the Polar Lights Mustang funnycars,,( got 5 of them last week ) But they were all gone They still had a boat load of the Ford pickups and the Superbee Charger kits. as well as a few of the lindberg cop cars. They also still had a few of the Lindberg L700 with trailer kits, but none of the truck only kits ( I bought 2 of them last week )
  16. Grind the glass out with a dremel ?
  17. Most of the kits / builders that I personally need parts for,, were just purchased in the past 12 to 24 months . So when said retirement was announced I didn't need 90% of what I need now . I have a list saved in excel to send once they re-open ( If they do )
  18. And I thank you. its sitting safely ,,,but patiently , in the stash Its on my short list ,,,might even be this fall
  19. Oh I agree with you. But were talking about the exact same body mods for the Dart Sport kit, and in addition none of the interior is the same , so that adds more expense. In the end ( IMO ) its cheaper to redo the Duster , and in my gut would be better received by actual modelers. OR, Another good option. Tool it into a 1972 Duster. That one would be even less money/effort.
  20. Yep, Johan 1971 Cuda kit. But have to ask,,,,,whats in the new Revell 1970 Sox and Martin Cuda kit ?
  21. Most of mine are still in the, as purchased state. But think these are my worst. I think they all are much better than they look,,,especially the 61 Ford and the 61 Impala. In order. AMT 1961 Impala MPC 1970 CUDA AMT 1970 Mustang Mach 1 MPC 1970 Cougar MPC 1971 CUDA AMT 1961 Ford Sunliner
  22. Thing is. Body , grille, fr bumper, hood, front fender wheel openings, front valance, tail light openings, exhaust tips - all obviously different. so that's a given. Otherwise its the same car. I'm pretty sure ,,,,,,Outside of the door panels the interior is the same ( seat pattern included ) If so ,,that's easy
  23. IMO,,,,, It would be considerably cheaper to do a Demon this way,,, than it would be to back date the Dart sport kit to it
  24. Unfortunately this is true. I wouldn't let it bother me, I've sent countless items out with no thoughts , cares or concerns on getting even a simple thank you( most times I do though). If I have the parts or knowledge of the subject at hand, and I have no plans for it . I'll share it without a second thought. Its the way I was raised. I Actually have a couple items to take to the post office in the morning. But I've followed some of your posts on these early car. And I thank you. I used to work at a restoration shop that specialized in brass era cars. and have since gained a huge fascination / desire for them . Thus my model collection of the cars from this era has grown considerably the past 4 or 5 years.
  25. And one I picked up a few years ago to replicate a friends car. Its actually started life as a hardtop kit,,,with major roof damage. So I cut the roof off of it and made it a convertible using the windshield frame and glass from the current AMT 1969 GTX vert. The build ,,,and the car it replicates ( sorry I dont have any before pics of it )
