  1. A picture of the interior tin itself work ?,,,, I don't have a engine cover at all. Only thing I have are the later versions and such as the 1968 Color Me Gone tin shown on the top in this picture
  2. I did some tinkering with it last night and added a fuel tank and pump , and ran some fuel lines , it looked kind of nakid without it. I thought about taking it apart to spray the chassis black like the 1/1, but decided to just leave it as is till I no longer have any projects to do ( that'll be a while ) It's basically just open windows office and using return address labels ( pick your size using test prints) and print them out on Avery clear address labels . Are they perfect? absolutely not. but at the time it was all I could do to replicate this car. The name on the ft fender and the dealership lettering on the quarter panel was done this way well over 10 years ago. Name on the door and the smaller sponser decals are fred cady i think. The body was cleared with testors enamel so the white is beginning to show signs of yellowing My plan in the near future is to redo the body and use modern decals . There is no clear over the decals . I am actually missing the engine cover portion of the interior tin in case anyone has an extra they want to part with
  3. Not sure if I should post this or not. I happend to stumble onto this a few days ago , then I seen this thread last last night( I don't get to this section that much ) But it might be of interest before another manufactuer gets to invested Not mine nor do I know the seller - just passing along info http://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-Pro-Charger-Supercharger-with-pulley-and-belt-kit-Street-or-Drag-/181133765080?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item2a2c69e9d8
  4. Anyone got any body up pics.? All I can find are the 68 CMG Charger shots The blue tube I have on it I think was just a ballast weight and I want to see if or how a fuel tank was mounted I decided to go ahead and add some details to the ft of the engine ( LONG overdue ) while it's out of the case for a dusting
  5. Here is one you don't see much. Original issue MPC kit I bought this many years ago as an old builtup from a friend of mine. All I did was strip and repaint the body, made some of the side lettering using an ink jet printer and clear address labels ( decals to redo it weren't avail back then ) and put it in the case and called it done. The chassis was unpainted, so I left it that way, nothing added but plug wires to give it some bling looking thru the window openings . To this day this is one of my favorite kits and cars.
  6. Looks good. I did one a few years ago. always bother me it has complete engines in it, yet the hood is molded shut . I don't remember having any decal issues back when I did mine. Are they kit decals ?
  7. Besides models, I also collect dealership promotionals ( Mopar only btw ) I own my own shop to repair cars - restore vintage cars . So I get to work on toy cars as well as the big ones. Best part is I get to spend other peoples money for the big ones. The little ones sadly it comes out of my pocket.
  8. I started a 1/32nd scale Chrysler a few years ago and didn't get very far before I lost interest in it ( had nothing to do with the multi-piece body though ) Otherwise I don't think I ever attempted one I do have a couple multi-piece body kits on the shelf for future projects but only one of them is subject in the near future. ps, I haven't been able to upload pictures to the board in some time..
  9. Although I've never been a fan of open wheel car type racing. But I am a fan of Senna, the man had style , grace and huge talent. The racing commnnity lost a force to be reckoned with and the world lost someone actually worthy of being idolized. I've seen parts of the documentary but at some point will get it and watch the whole thing.
  10. I'm not a guitar player so I can't say what sizes. But I bought a pack of different sizes and best I can remember they were less than $10 . but to be honest that was over 15 years ago
  11. I have 2 of the original stock issues and 3 of the pro street versions . Plus I just picked up a set of aftermkt decals to do this very car. So about the only thing I would buy any more of them for would be the neat box art and / OR a non SS grille. I can't think of any other popular drag version back then , although I'm sure there were some.
  12. Now ya got me thinking. I have an old AMT 1968 kit around here that was planned for a Dave Strickler car, now I think I need to come up with a chassis from the revell kit and get going here soon
  13. That had to be a massive undertaking , and I for one commend you pretty cool though , some of them I have never seen before so keep them coming.
  14. SSDI in the October 1966 issue - has an article with lots of details on this car . I can post it if wanted or allowed. ps, can one just take the back seat and add a back side filler to make a bench seat? I have a few of the pro street versions I can rob the back seat out of to do so,,,, but the seat bun part looks kind of short to me .
  15. Never ever thought about these pins I've used guitar string before with decent results http://www.ebay.com/itm/Entochrysis-stainless-mounting-insect-pins-100-size-000-imsecta-microlepidoptera-/380513722585?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item589862a0d9
  16. You've got my interest. I have been wondering where to get the decals I would really prefer a 1/25th scale kit if at all possibile to keep my display case looking all similar scale ,,,,,,but I do have one of the Boss 429 kits on the shelf as a just in case. something else I did not know is Al ran a Lawman corvette as well approx 1967 vintage
  17. Figures, I just picked up the decals to do this car maybe 3 weeks ago
  18. Thanks, I order them this afternoon. I was after the square looking old style coils usually mounted on the ft engine plate on the old AA/FC cars such as here on the Chitown Hustler
  19. I ck'd there and didn't see any of the coils I needed. I use his pre-wired dists
  20. Thanks for the note, I had ck'd my usual suspects and found nuttin. Ordered 5 of the Pro Tech versions via Teds Modeling this afternoon Hopefully I can get this car done this decade
  21. Lighting has gotten to be a major requirement lately. A really sharp retractable X-acto knife I use the small bladed versions mostly ( looks like a retractable pen ) But the motivation is the hardest one for me to keep stocked
  22. Both would be kind of fun for a long weekend, but I wouldn't want the upkeep of either over the long term
  23. Anyone know of any avail. ? stryene or resin will work need a couple for early 70's AA/FC builds
  24. Using a Turbin car as an example may not be the best coice. Remember those cars were tooled and built in Italy , and my tells me they're not a Mopar color myself I am leaning more towards a candy red more and more.
