  1. I used guitar string many years ago . It takes some patience but making thin stainless trim can be done. I just did a dab of superglue to hold it in place all these years,,,,, even through some rough handling ( aka dropped it ) it stayed attached. It also works well for brake and fuel lines that have the spiral wrap, AND parking brake cables ( just remove the spiral wrap ) ps, bending the stuff is tough so keep that in mind if u go this route
  2. Any one know if the decals to do this car are avail ? I have this one on the short list as it looks like a pretty straightforward conversion with a Johan AMX body on a Borsch altered chassis /engine / running gear
  3. Agreed, I can look at it for hours and it looks fantastic,Thinking in my head this one ______ come out fantastic then snap a picture and when I post it for all to see. it looks so crappy I almost take the picture back down.
  4. What !!!!!!!!! ,,,,do I see a plastic transmission ? tell me it isn't so . no aluminum case with gears inside and a working shifter ?????,,,,slacker jk btw
  5. I would but I have to many in works now , plus I only have the one original Demon builtup that I am using to replicate my old 1/1 . so I am going to have to wait till the re-release comes out this fall/winter
  6. I've seen the Pro Tech line and it is hands down the most accurate for the scale , but if 100% accuracy is not required, look in the beading isle at Micheals . they have a couple different sizes that fit the bill for me Everything show here came from that isle, the beads themselfe I am not 100% happy with the sizes and may change them, or may not
  7. Welcome to the club, Had the same attraction for ,,oh,,, about 45 years now ! My toy fund has difficulty keeping up some times
  8. Uh,,,,, we need a WIP with LOTS of pictures . I for one would d REALLY like to do this car
  9. I've never paid any attention to the Screaming Eagle car, as it's not a replica of an actual car But the wheels kinda look like the ones we need for the Billy The Kid Demon
  10. ck with this seller,, he has had them in the past. AFX-N-Scale makes them http://www.ebay.com/sch/rdsxfan2/m.html?item=390567593823&pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item5aefa4875f&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  11. Wow - just doesn't sound like it gets my point across But all I can think of when my jaw hits the table is - WOW
  12. These do look fantastic . I am amazed at the amout of detail you put in - in such a short amount of time
  13. Or the 4 headlight car. which 'should' be a max wedge car.
  14. Golden Commandos / Hamilton Motors also had a 1964 Plymouth 2 door hardtop , ,,,,,,2 cars actually, A max wedge car early in the season , And I think some time later a Hemi car - Which 'I think' is just the max wedge with the 'new' Hemi installed, then the RO 1964 Hemi sedan showed up later on IMO, this would be a better marketing subject to re-badge the box art compared to the Lawman Notice the class number has changed and it now has a 2 head light grille
  15. IMO, it doesn't matter who's livery it's released as. But, Make the most of it and modify the body to reflect a 2 door sedan . IMO, this would be a much better than just a decals / box art change. Although that direction would be considerably cheaper .
  16. One of the kits I wanted for the stash is a 1959 Vette, When I was looking all I could find were the 58's . But I don't remember seeing any bring over $30 , and when I finally found my 59 I think I paid under $30 including postage You just have te be patient
  17. I have 2 JF bodies. a 1970 RT/SE - it's really nice and thickness is pretty close to a stryene kit. Roof and back glass are pretty close to OE. So that one I will definitly use and would recomend I also have a JF 1964 Plymouth Belvedere sedan body, that one I am kinda bumed on the quality of the moulding above the tail light / aka back edge of the decklid. Theres no way it's usuable as is . combinded with the thickness of the body itself in key areas , I'm not sure if this one will get used or I may just make my own . Both are still sitting in boxes waiting for there time on the bench
  18. if all else fails builtups of the original MPC 1970 Cougar kit pop up on Feebay from time to time. . I picked up one a year + half or so ago to do a Eddie Schartman pro stocker and I think it was about $40 delivered
  19. 90% of what I build is within a same/similar subject matter . so I tend to have multiples of like kits Most of my stash is duplicates of one kit or another.. The kits I have only one of , is extremely rare
  20. Missing Link was ( probably still is ) doing a body and hood conversion to build a 1970 Cougar
  21. Got mine today,,,,,, VEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRY nice.
  22. Very very nice, got the same project planned for here soon. But I gotta ask, I thought the 1/1 had black interior ?
