  1. I have a built up of a 1968 Chevrolet fleet-side that I am going to convert to a ramp bed hauler (someday ) These trucks can bring some pretty crazy money,, why I simply don't understand. Something tells me the tooling style exists and deep down my gut says if the Moebius Ford does well I would not be surprised to see the Chevy re-appear in some form
  2. I've bought maybe a half dozen items from Motor City, from a simple grille to whole bodies . not one complaint with any of them
  3. Glad it's not just me this happens to looks good so far
  4. Very good looking build. Love it, I've built 4 of the lindberg Dodges so far, And I've got another 8-9 on the shelf so I might be slightly biased
  5. AFXnScale is the manufacture , just sold thru a secondary outlet
  6. Right now it's just a dream 'IF ' it could even be done. Costs will become an issue and may very well kill the idea before it even gets off the ground. I didn't think the early to mid 70s cars was readily avail, and already forewarned him as such . It's the 63 to 67 cars I had no idea of
  7. same here, Unless I stumble across something that pops my buttons, I usually look more for reference pictures . I've already got more models than I will probably ever build
  8. OK, I've been asked recently what it would take to build every year corvette from 1953 to 1982 ? He's asked to keep them all in same scale sizes so mixing scale will kill the project Fill me in, is this even feasible without dropping huge coin on long out of production kits ? Keep in mind, the Owner isn't after 100% accuracy just a nice display for his man cave / office shelf ( he has nice collection the garage of 1/1's already , just not every year) If I get to do this they have to be able to represent OE stock looking cars right down to the stock hubcaps
  9. My eBay purchase finally showed up. back in early Jan I bought a MCW 1965 Plymouth AFX altered wheelbase kit for a future build. it just showed up friday after some threatening
  10. Did the 70's funnycars use a lenco.? I think they either used an automatic or a direct drive
  11. Thanks fellas, The one piece I have looks and actually fits great. I just don't want to step on anyones toes in having a copy of mine done. So mine I may just keep and use it myself. I do have 2 other hoods in the works for later projects.
  12. I just received some sheets from him about 4-6 weeks ago. The email address on his list is JackKSmith@Comcast.net
  13. In a day?? you sir suck,( jk ) I can't get that much done in a month
  14. Reason, I asked . I bought about 3 or 4 resin sixpack style hoods for use on the AMT duster off ebay last fall. I was told they were drag city castings pieces , Yet I don't see them on his product list. I had already made one for myself when I bought them. so I bought all the seller had listed and just back burnered mine . But I now have more projects in mind that I may need a few more at some point. I might consider sending this one out to be cast but prefer not to if it's still avail I've been working on a couple different hoods and I think they all would sell well if avail.
  15. I just saw some resin 8 lug steel wheels on ebay a day or 2 ago
  16. This caster still inbiz ?
  17. Ok, I was rumaging in the parts boxes last night and came across these. bottom right is 1964-65 Race Hemi Mopar only - out of 'I think' an old MPC Charger kit top right is Mopar Nascar ( I think mid 60-s to early 70s era ) out of a Joahn Roadrunner kit 2 on the left , I think are GM, just not sure applications. Are these avail reproduction ? , if not is there an interest in them as such. ? I could use a few more of the Crossram hemi ones is why I ask . and I would donate them to a quality caster if there is..
  18. When it comes to race cars, usually the engine is painted black OR the same color as the chassis it's sitting in
  19. I did one of these kits in this exact same color combo. You will really like the end result.
  20. Keep it up and he'll be master in no time, looks like he's off to a great start. We can't possibily give the younger generation enough praise for there accomlishments. Well done .
  21. I had little interest in using an airbrush. But I needed one for a 1/1 project. So I took a chance and bought one of the cheepies from Harbor Freight, figuring I had very little to loose if it sucked. I was quite surprised on how well it works.
