  1. I think your best option is find an original MPC annual. Not terribly difficult to find and if patient,,,, they can be found reasonable priced
  2. Ive done that exact car using that exact method Also did a similar job many MANY years ago, same basic method,,,just no box. Both done with nothing but rattle cans
  3. If nothing else, this thread is proof . drugs are bad for you. And it seems dont mix well with fiberglass resin
  4. Great pictures. That show always seems to co-inside with the Chrysler's at Carlisle show. We used to pass a lot of them going to and from Im planning to go to the Goodguys show in Phoenix this November with mine
  5. So does this tell you its a real 67 Z28 ,,,,If so thats one rare bird , even back then
  6. The only Mopar from this era that got a tilt wheel was the Imperial line, and they were even avail as tilt / telescopic
  7. Something Ive always wondered about these cars . Did they start off as a body in white? Or A running driving car ? Meaning do they have a GM assigned vin
  8. Well, I do have both 60 and 61 Imperial. but I just ckd, both of them have the hubcaps in them . I was thinking mercury or early 60s Ford sunliner maybe
  9. In all honesty, I would just like to get back to the model bench for something. Ive not touched anything in a few years now. And to be honest 2021 is not looking good for it either. I plan to retire approx fall 2022 Im thinking by then house will be the way we want it and my car is in the in the condition I truly want it to be by then Ive actually starting to thin the pile down even more than I did a couple years ago . Im planing to get down to maybe a couple dozen buildups I want to restore ( mostly original 1958 thru 1960 annuals ) and then some vintage drag cars I want to replicate . The rest is going away
  10. I was going thru the stash and found these on the floor later..i just dont know which box they fell out of
  11. If Im out this weekend .I may hit my local HL and see if they have one of these. I REALLY dont need any more kits . BUT, In the past couple years this is the only one they've brought out that makes me even think about buying something
  12. Just how great it was depends entirely on how much it cost him I didnt see anything big money
  13. This is one kit Im real happy came about. I have one built from right about the time it came out , my youngest daughter built it actually and its one of my favorites
  14. Not necessarily true. Bultups are not that hard to find ( I have 2 myself ) and price wise is comparable to the former Modelhaus resin kit
  15. I dont need one, But me personally I like the accuracy of the door scallops on the AMT kit over the revell version But cool box art none the less
  16. Some mad skills dude. far more then I would have attempted
  17. If I can make a suggestion. Add stryene strips to the edges of the roof along the roof drain gutters. If you are doing a vinyl top the original trim on the kits is / gets far to shallow compared to the added trim at the base of the C pillar area
  18. Wow, just WOW Keep it up and if theres any chance of a resin copy of the interior, I would be interested. I have a builder and part of a 2nd . My plan was make one a vert like this
  19. Thanks. Ive been to the Meadow brook hall show about 20 plus years ago These shows have cars you will not see anywhere else and are a must do at least once for a car nut like myself
  20. Killer pics Now I want to know where this is . Is it a busy tourist place ? PM me details if your prefer I can see a weekend road trip in my future for this one
  21. Now,,,,,,If we can just get a late 60s to early 70s DODGE cab I would be set
  22. Off road was the family tractor which was great to learn how to drive a clutch . otherwise its A combination of my parents 1973 Ford Torino wagon and 73 Ford F100 pickup( 3 on the tree no less ) and my 1st car , a 1966 Pontiac Tempest . I bought with my own money. Paid a whopping $50 for it and drive it home
  23. Correct, exhaust manifolds had engine color on them for a very short time
