I seem to remember this very car was for sale recently ????? And If I remember right, this car was cruising the Indy fairgrounds at the Car Craft Street machine Nats back about 1979 or 80 time frame when I went a couple years in a row with my old 1970 Road Runner If it is, this thing sounded WICKED -
Thanks all. The Ford replicates a 1/1 that runs around here during summer months . In regards to a few of the others ,,,I got on a kick to build kits from my yuth ( whats a yuth ? get it ) this year. Hence the reason for the majority shown. Simple and easy. The T-Bolts are probably my favorite kit to build. No muss no fuss . Combined with I simply got tired of decal sheets being stored for far to long. The 1972 Cutlass was a gift for a friend of mine ....he had the 1/1 car and sold it last year. Kind of a condolence prize I guess.

Although a few of these were actually started on back in 2016 . They were finished up over the winter and early spring of 2017 I get essentially zero model bench time in the summer months . So its as much as I can get done ,,,when I can get it done. Nothing to elaborate or over detailed. Actually all are box stock with exception to aftermarket decals of a few .

Sad day indeed. I met him many years ago. And really enjoyed it . Very humble man . This may be the final push I need to build a few of his cars for my shelf .

Typically I'm not an import car builder. BUT, I have always REALLY liked those cars. I just might have to consider one of these for the stash

AMT 57 Chevy Pepper Shaker - Newest reissue
gtx6970 replied to pharoah's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
In all honesty. I don't have a single 1957 Chev in the stash of any kind. Or a 56 . And the only 55 I have is a Nomad to build the Paul Blevins car and 1 of the Badman re-issues ( already done ) Otherwise I have zero interest to build one I may pick up one someday to do the Hollywood Knights / PHR Project 57 ,,,someday -

A couple set of Hemi carbs and 1 pair of the AVS carbs , plus 3 different kind of mopar wheel covers -
I did a bunch of work for a local shop that built a 1971 Challenger convertible for a client a few years back . When I walked in I told shop owner this was the wrong car to be paying someone $65 an hour to have done, ( car was rough and just a 318 2 bbl car ) I'll bet the owner had close to 150K in it when it was all said and done. Car was dang nice, but not $150K nice.

PS - A short stack Weber setup might fit the bill maybe I dont think I have many Ford kits in the stash to rummage thru to find something on hand ( I know the only Cobra I have is the Baldwin Motion kit ) -

Yes, As soon as I hit submit I knew I spelled it wrong. But I was hoping something was avail . ( Im afraid if I get so far as to scratch build something I'll lose interest quickly ) This would prefer to either buy a kit or parts needed. Im not 100% committed to this EXACT intake setup. Just different -

1967 Plymouth Belvedere 4 door Sedan 426 HEMI original
gtx6970 replied to Reuhkapelti's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Color looks about right .,but hard to tell on PC monitors But yes , valve covers are on the wrong side In the real world the engine is orange, black valve covers , aluminum carbs, chrome round air cleaner, dist body is aluminum, dist cap is tan, spark plug wires are black . The OEM installed oil filter was green , engine pulleys were black, , alternator is aluminum. ( FYI, the 1966 and 1967 are identical ) The transmission is supposed to be bare cast iron ,,,not orange as shown here -
Thats cool. And thinking WAY out side the box
