  1. Nice, Ive always though that car was one of if not the best looking SS car on the planet
  2. As much as I like vintage drag cars . I may just pass on this one,,,or at the most I may get one of these. I already have maybe 3 or 4 of the model king issues and Ive never touched even one of them yet. and how long have they been out .

  4. Ive used the Lucas decals on one other build with no issues . ( the Iron Butterfly 1964 Dodge sheet ) And I would bet the seller I linked to is either Lucas or someone selling his stuff. Ive heard conflicting stories if he is still taking orders online or not
  5. we think a lot alike
  6. decals by lucas are out of business...long gone....oldr-n-drt https://www.ebay.com/sch/us2014-sm/m.html?item=253472552208&hash=item3b04243510%3Ag%3ADgwAAOSwMkJaakFr&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  7. Same here. I'm lucky enough I have 2 mom-pop places within a 15 / 20 minute drive. And will do my best to support them when the need arises . But even the its usually just paint or the rare occasion some new kit I cant live without. its rare I even go in the local Hobby Lobby anymore.
  8. Meh, maybe . But for the costs / efforts ( aka my skills ) I just keep an eye out for another one
  9. A couple ckd off the want list this week . A decent builder Thundercharger. Been after one of these for a while now ( would like to have a 2nd so I can build both both ways the car has appeared.) And an original issue 1962 Chrysler 300 convertible, this is simply a parts kit I'll use the interior on a hardtop build of said car. The rest will go in the parts pile or use a trade material
  10. Ok, Been thinking about this for weeks . And am curious what the masses do . For me I tend to buy local or at shows. I realized a few years back and the older Ive become,,, that if I have to buy online I usually just do without. The one except to this is are vintage kits / annuals I need ( ok WANT) to add to my want list and said list has gotten quite small the past few years. Plus 99% of the time I build box stock anyway so the majority of the items i do buy are simply decals. Plus add to the fact my stash is well beyond my capable build plans to get them all done before I'm sniffing dirt so my buying has become extremely selective. That said I did purchase a couple vintage builder kits this week .( both eBay buys ) So Im not quite ready to quit buying just yet.
  11. Looks good. Im in for a couple of each.
  12. I just tried. The windshield would work in a pinch. The back glass would take some work but MIGHT be able to pass if you have nothing else
  13. Very VERY nice. Im typically not a customs fan. But man that car rocks
  14. Once you have the 68 GTX grill in hand. post some pics. I would be interested in a few of them
  15. I'll bet most of us here are closer to the end than we are the beginning. sad days indeed. Hardly a day goes by when I look at my mirror I dont think of Harry
  16. You see these pop up on ebay every once in a while
  17. Be careful. some of the AMT 1969 GTX kits have a 1968 hood But yes the Johan is light years ahead of any issue of the AMT kit. Problem is you will pay dearly for a Johan 69 GTX kit ( I know I did )
  18. fortunately, I have 2 LHS near me. both are less than 20 minutes away. Although one is more RC car/plane/boat stuff and the other is trains. ( mainly HO scale I think ) Both carry a decent model selection as well as paint and supplies. I try my best to give one or the other all my business
  19. Yep. That was me. Sorry guys for the delay getting them out when promised
  20. how about the 340 out of the AMT 1971 Duster I like the mopar 8-3/4 axle idea as well
