  1. I would like to have the body, glass and exterior trim from one of these. I could see a Rod Shop Prostock potential.
  2. Man I like that. Want to build one myself someday
  3. The Revell 1971 GTX interior tub is 1/24th scale the AMT 1971 Charger is 1/25th scale
  4. The SS car was not campaigned in that form for very long. So pictures or rare. If you find pictures of the AFX sedan, its the same car just with an altered wheelbase
  5. dang, Im hungry Myself and my oldest daughter are in Arizona. Wife and youngest daughter are still in Ky ( but not for much longer ) Been quick meals for us the last 2 weeks or so . So nuttin fancy
  6. The one shown isa 440 car I am interested in color combinations and options in this body style. I MIGHT consider either a 66 Satellite , or maybe a 67 belvedere if the colors and options are there . But REALLY would prefer a 67 GTX 440 auto. And if I can find this exact color only with a copper interior , now that would get my heart pumping Although it would be nice , I'm afraid an original Hemi car is out of my budget
  7. favorites I have owned in the past , 1969 GTX , Ive had 2 hardtops and 2 convertibles. ( all sold now ) Plan to own here soon. 1967 GTX Woudl LOVE to own one someday 1961 Chrysler 300 , convertible would be top of the list, but way out of my price range . so A hardtop would do nicely
  8. Anyone able to confirm. I recently read an article and they way I read it. While in Dyno Dons ownership the car was 427 wedge powered. it wasnt till he sold the car, it became SOHC powered And I can find any evidence the car was ever straight axle equipped during his tenure
  9. Its not like the duster is super expensive ,,, I would part one out without question if I wanted more detail on the Cuda but then , my builds are for my shelf. so the B,Cuda chassis is just fine for my needs
  10. not a bad choice at all for a reasonable modern day toy. Ive never driven a GNX, but have driven several Turbo T types and impressive is an under=statement. A real good friend of mine has one that can comfortably click of high 10 second 1/4 mile passes and then drive it home with the ac on. Its a stock block and heads, Upgraded turbo and inter-cooler with water injection. He has a strong running 1970 hemi cuda and the Buick will eat the Cuda for lunch
  11. Im not a Porsche fan by any means. But if my dream garage was full. I could be persuaded to drive this around for a little while
  12. If I have to open my display case and pick my absolute favorite kit ( that I have built at this time ) Is my AMT 1959 Edsel convertible . Even though I am a diehard Mopar guy and diehard Vintage drag car builder. This build just pops my buttons
  13. can honestly tell you. For pretty much ANY modern tool kit , made in the last 20 years or so , $15 to $20 is pretty much the norm at shows Even if its something very recent and you just paid $30 for. Your are not going to get your money back
  14. Agreed, I built one of the 55s. Probably one of the best kits Ive ever built. And I gave it away once completed. Need to build another one for myself My favorite kit to build ( and i have done several ) is the Revell Thunderbolt. A close second is probably the old tool MPC Funny car kits , in there various iterations ,,,,,. I am NOT a big fan of the same kits/subject matter from Revell . Followed real close by the Lindberg 64 Dodge and Plymouth variants. Although the suspension on them can be a little finicky. Otherwise they would be my number 2 pick
  15. Dude, That looks amazing. Ive been wanting to build a few gassers for my shelf. this one, The blue Stone , Woods and Cook car and John Mazmanians candy apple red car
  16. Ive seen some of these boats live. Knads of steel i tell ya
  17. I'm afraid I cant help you with colors or details. But certainly agree with your analogy of the time period
  18. Cool, Isnt this the show that used to be held on the Meadowbrook hall grounds ? I went to that one about 20 years ago. Sensory overload is an understatement
  19. WOW I wanted to attend. But with just moving to the area. it simply wasn't going to happen
  20. Thank, I guess so. I know I no longer use the instructions. Although I rarely use the instructions much on any kit anyway. Advantage of being a mechanic I guess. I know cars pretty well and know the difference between a master cyl and wiper motor. This is probably one of my top 2 or 3 favorite kits to build. And I think Revell really nailed it when 1st produced ( other than the tires ) I do have decals to do maybe another 4 or 5 more . But don't think I have enough kits on hand. I can say for 100% certainty the wheels on this one is nothing but the pen. Simply pushed it down to really let the ink flow into the smallest crevices and they look killer. REALLY close to rims on a kit chrome tree . Again, no clear top coat
  21. Thanks, If by chance I get the opportunity to get them unboxed for display. I'll ck to see which one is BMF and which is the pen and maybe do a comparison side by side I will say even after several months you have to be aware of how you handle them. the chrome done via the pen will still leave a fingerprint in it. Now,,,,Nothing like as if done only a few days earlier ( made that mistake as well ) and although its extremely faint I could see it up close . And easy fix was go back over it with the pen . Now over a year into it, I dont remember any smudge issues when handling . None of them were cleared over chrome.
  22. Agreed, 100% If we all liked the exact same thing. the world would be a very VERY boring place
