I think the closest ones your going to find is in the Little red Wagon Out of what ones you posted above. " I think " the only ones correct for a 63 is the top one -
Missing link makes it and it is a VERY nice piece. Drops in the lindberg body perfectly

wanna sell the 62 Dodge dart and 62 Fury. I'll give you your money back on them 2 alone.
-
Dude, you stole that one. And Good luck on that 1960 Olds, even better try finding a good deal on a 1959 Olds or 1961 Plymouth Fury ( PS, I am looking for a 1961 Fury in case anyone has one to part with .) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1959-OLDSMOBILE-NINTY-EIGHT-Built-MODEL-1-25-JOHAN/153019605290?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

Most of the later issues stuff can be found reasonable. you just have to look I recently picked up a 68 Fury Police car and a 1960 Plymouth wagon. Didn't give over $50 for either one Its the Older original issue stuff that can command serious cash. Maybe 2 years ago picked a spotless 1959 Fury , and I think it was right at $100 or so . Then picked up another one on a trade last year with a car I had less than $40 in . Most of my older Johan builders were well under $100 , several were less than $50 I think the most expensive one I have is a builder Johan 1969 GTX . I was tired of looking with no luck so I paid up to get one. I think it was about $125 ( NICE builtup in the original box ) only a few weeks later found another one for under $50 , so go figure . Just proves they are still out there at decent prices if your willing to look and keep patient

Also, I'll add my 2 cents. if you feel so inclined. do the seats and door panels as well. Ive tried to do them with putty and failed miserably. So if done I'm a buyer

Looks pretty good so far. And I agree, tightening up the spacing ( but not much ) between upper and lower horizontal bars would improve it a tad more. If I remember right there is about an inch or inch and half of decklid showing above the trunk applique before it rolls over to the top Also, if the decklid thickness is thinner around the edges than the kit body,,, it might be a good thing. . Even better would be have it printed with the bracing detail on the bottom side of the decklid

Just hit me, and something to keep in mind. The kit ( if you can find one ) the hood is open. On a promo the hood will be molded in. And will require a bit more work . BUT its very doable. ( I did one on a blueprinter version of the galaxie I have stashed away )
-
Yes, they are stryene. I have a stryene builder kit( little tougher to find than the promo. finding a distressed promo is easier ,,,and typically cheaper $35 to $40 is about right. You can find them for less, but condition usually dictates lower price . There is one on ebay now for less, but has missing A pillars https://www.ebay.com/itm/1963-Ford-Galaxie-2dr-Hardtop-Promo-car/202308929382?hash=item2f1a8d4766:g:SBkAAOSw~RFa8ziC

Something like so, and fyi, I dont think I paid this much for mine last year. So deals are out there. You just have to be patience https://www.ebay.com/itm/1963-Ford-Galaxie-2-Door-Coupe-Dealer-Promo-Car-Excellent/323260788013?hash=item4b43d82d2d:g:bKAAAOSwJpda8iYZ

Thunderbolt is considerably shorter. I think it was missing link made this car in sedan body style. There was a plastic kit made back then ( maybe a promo ) ,,,only needs the sedan window frames added ( I have one to do just that )
-
Gotcha. And I have NO DOUBTS you have the skils to and will pull this off I gots to admit. Ive never been a huge fan of LSR cars. But this thing is wicked cool. Love the cockpit design
-
they can be great for a less expensive alternative for subject matter . A 1970 GTO is one. usually can find a distressed promo much cheaper than an original kit. Same goes for a 1968 Olds 442 or Johan 69 or 70 GTX .
-
Lovin this one. BUT IMO the wheel fairings need to extend down a little farther.
-
Missing Link makes these in resin. And they are pretty nice . I have a set to use on a build to replicate a good friends actual 1967 Coronet RT
-
Yes to all the above
-
WOW< Impressive is an understatement .
-
Exactly. Ive never understood the hash and rehash of a kit because it has a simple chassis under it. Do you display builds with the bottom side up? Are contests your primary reason to build ? if so then costs are not a factor . I would be willing to bet a vast majority of builders could care less what the bottom side looks like once completed.( within a reasonable effort ) I know I don't . I build for me and me alone. Once done and in my display case no one will see them except family and visiting friends . But I get to admire them , dust them and simply enjoy them anytime I want. Maybe even sit them on the table and make Vroom Vroom noises once in a while........ Life is good . One has to remember its a RE_ISSUE of a kit designed in the 60s or maybe early 70s nothing more , nothing less. So build it , enjoy it , be glad we have replicas of kits from our youth,,,no matter how simplified they are . Carry on
