  1. Not a fan of much from the 80s ... And I'm a diehard Mopar fan .BUT I sure would like to have one of these . Just for chits and giggles . Ive driven one of these and have to say these things will fly in box stock form
  2. In all honesty. I don't have a single 1957 Chev in the stash of any kind. Or a 56 . And the only 55 I have is a Nomad to build the Paul Blevins car and 1 of the Badman re-issues ( already done ) Otherwise I have zero interest to build one I may pick up one someday to do the Hollywood Knights / PHR Project 57 ,,,someday
  3. If it in fact applies to GM cars I have no idea. But I know for a fact Mopars of the same era were grey ,,,EXCEPT LA plant built cars. They were black
  4. Ck out Speed City Resin
  5. Insert a wee bit of sarcasm there. But to the op,. Yep,,,,,, I would dare say 75% of the members here are 'reliving ' there youth
  6. Holy cow, that looks good. If I decide to go resin . I'll look at that ( I would rather not if I can find something in stryene )
  7. A couple set of Hemi carbs and 1 pair of the AVS carbs , plus 3 different kind of mopar wheel covers
  8. I did a bunch of work for a local shop that built a 1971 Challenger convertible for a client a few years back . When I walked in I told shop owner this was the wrong car to be paying someone $65 an hour to have done, ( car was rough and just a 318 2 bbl car ) I'll bet the owner had close to 150K in it when it was all said and done. Car was dang nice, but not $150K nice.
  9. PS - A short stack Weber setup might fit the bill maybe I dont think I have many Ford kits in the stash to rummage thru to find something on hand ( I know the only Cobra I have is the Baldwin Motion kit )
  10. Yes, As soon as I hit submit I knew I spelled it wrong. But I was hoping something was avail . ( Im afraid if I get so far as to scratch build something I'll lose interest quickly ) This would prefer to either buy a kit or parts needed. Im not 100% committed to this EXACT intake setup. Just different
  11. Anyone know if there is or was this intake / injection setup was ever produced in scale ? I would be interested in one for either a vintage small block Ford and/or Coyote motor as well . I wouldn't rule out one for either a Boss 429 or SOHC engine either. I'm going for WOW factory underhood
  12. I just ordered a few things for some Mopar projects in the pipeline
  13. Color looks about right .,but hard to tell on PC monitors But yes , valve covers are on the wrong side In the real world the engine is orange, black valve covers , aluminum carbs, chrome round air cleaner, dist body is aluminum, dist cap is tan, spark plug wires are black . The OEM installed oil filter was green , engine pulleys were black, , alternator is aluminum. ( FYI, the 1966 and 1967 are identical ) The transmission is supposed to be bare cast iron ,,,not orange as shown here
  14. Thats cool. And thinking WAY out side the box
  15. a 1966 and 1967 B-body cars were all 14" Even the Hemi cars would be a 7.75-14 , either black wall -----or 1967s redline - 1966 were blueline
  16. Truer words were never spoken. We have one that REFUSES to drink from the water bowl. He MUST have the faucet on from time to time in the 1st floor bathroom. When he is thirsty, he will stand by the door and cry something fierce till its on . Yep he might be a touch spoiled. That said though, We have 4 cats ( and 2 dogs ) Fortunately none have ever jumped up on the bench( at least not that I know of ) ALTHOUGH,,,,,,,,,once something hits the floor ,,,all bets are off where it disappears to , how quickly and by whom.
  17. Thanks , that's what I figured ,,,just not what I was hoping to hear . I have a project in mind and cant decide 100% on the power train I want to use. But I may still pick one up just for the tires and wheels .
  18. Casey, any pictures of more info on the contents of this woody ? Especially the engine and or induction system , on a small block ford ? Looks like it has an Inglese ( spell ck ) and it it does. I need pick one of these up for parts alone
  19. AMT version of the Dodge Daytona MPC 1970 Charger - Built as a replica of a good friends car MPC 1968 Charger built as the Dick Landy SS car And Revell 1968 Charger RT. Built as a replica of a friends car ( I also built the 1/1 )
  20. Like mentioned the 66-68 Big Pontiac annuals can be a little tough to find and expensive when you do. ( I just bought a decent 1967 Bonneville conv builder and paid just over $100 for it. With a cracked but easily fixed windshield frame. ,,,not for sale ) That said ,,, and for your intended purpose. A re- builder would obviously be the best route. And with the mods your intending. A less than mint body would be ideal. And considerably cheaper and easier to find . Do Like I do and set up search parameters on ebay to be notified when something is listed . Thats how Ive found the vast majority of my old annuals stash over the past few years. As far as the GTO, Yes its a completely different body style and size. But less expensive to come up with
  21. Ive been wanting to get back to the bench . This inspired me Today I Pulled a 1970 Coronet body and parts out, prepped them and painted them the same Go Mango lacquer. I painted a 1970 Cuda body with it a couple weeks ago and all I had to do was rub it out , with no clear and it looks killer . ( I'll paint maybe 2 more bodies for winter projects )
  22. Very nice. My favorite mopar body style ( Ive owned 3 of them )
  23. OMG, that would be an absolute blast to drive. Other than the heat generated inside that tiny interior compartment
  24. Nice, VERY nice
