  1. Well gentlemen, I'm very sorry about the delay on this one. I forgot about keeping the WIP thread... Well, that's the reason I don't have all that many WIPs. The car is not ready yet, but it's close, so I'll post what i've being doing, so you guys are up to date.
  2. Awesome looking Ford. Great finish and fit.
  3. Yep, this one looks terrific. There is something wrong, that is not your fault. It's the grille, that AMT did wrong. The model replicates a standard cab F-100, but has the Deluxe grille. To make it correct, the six little "teeth" on the openings have to be shaved, and the grille painted white.
  4. That's a real truck. It's got to be. That is the very best build of this truck I ever saw.
  5. That Galaxie looks killer.
  6. I like the end result. The color suits the car, and the wide whites are classy.
  7. VERY nice!! Awesome to see one built like it's supposed to look like.
  8. The best one I ever saw built.
  9. I paint the interior of the body shells to replicate the looks the 1:1 car would have. Usually I paint them in primer color, with body color overs´ray where needed and paint the inner fenders black, when they are this way on the real car. On a '57 Ford, or '66 Galaxie, the inner fenders are separate parts from the body, and come painted a semi gloss tone of black from the factory. A '62 Thunderbird, is a unibody car, and will have the inner fenders body color on the inside of the engine bay, and in primer, body color and undercoating on the inside of the wheel well. The exception is the headliner, that is painted to go with the interior color option I went with. 10. That's a realistic one. Almost can hear that tiny engine. Those little cars were manufactured here in Brasil by Romi industrial LTDA Company, and the cars were called Romi-Isettas. They are kind of big (no pun intended) on cars shows around my corner of the woods. There is always one or two. I think they make great weather proof motorcycles, but if intended as a car, it's a big not, thanks.
  11. I like it a lot.
  12. Wait wait!! How did I loose this one??? Awesome build!!! Not a fan of aftermarket stuff, but you did it in a tasty way. Great color combo, and very realistic overall appearance.
  13. Very nice, always loved this color, and the car, of course.
  14. Send him a PM then. Your model is good, your education om forums leaves a lot to be desired. Kind of hard to avoid a truckload of pictures in the middle of someone else's thread.
  15. Detail level on those is quite good. The built model can pass as a larger scale with no problem. I liked the screen detail on the headlights, and the detail paint on the engine bay. Very nicely done.
  16. Nice color combo. Can't go wrong with a Y-Block under the hood. It will be a cool car when done.
  17. Pictures of the this model should be in the modeling illustrated dictionary under "kitbash" and under "good taste" Very, very successful kitbash, and one of the very few design changes done on an existing car that looks like could have being this way from the factory. Most of the so much liked '60s custom jobs have very poor proportions, with huge front or rear overhangs, a tasteless mix of different parts, and just look like cartoons. The work done on this VW is on a different league altogether.
  18. Very nicely done, and a perfect tribute to a great car. Uncle Henry would be proud.
  19. I liked it a lot. The model looks very real on the pictures, and even the pictures look from an old magazine, what gives some extra charm.
  20. Thanks!! Thank you!! Thanks!! BTW, what sorcery do you do? That Pyro Auburn is pure magic. I have the kit, and that being said, what you did with it... WOW.
  21. Now we are talking!!!! A proper looking '34 Ford. I think it's the first I saw in this forum.
  22. I was wondering the same. Wanna show your version of the car, post a small picture. Thread hijacking at it's best.
  23. THAT IS NOTHING SHORT OF AN WORK OF ART. Amazing.
