Unusual scratchbuilding idea
MAGNUM4342 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sorry. It was the "concourse de' elegans" on the sign that threw me off. I thought it was England or maybe France. -
seam lines, flash, and detailing

Maybe it doesn't look good to YOU, but just fine to the one who built it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If the person who be holdin the model likes it what does it matter what anyone else thinks? -

I don't always clean up the chassis or other parts if i'm looking to do a quickee that's for my own pleasure. I will if it's a display or contest model. I always clean up the body though. -

I see they even know about Richard Petty across the waters. Is that guy in the yellow blazer Eric Idle? -
Sparkplug wires?
MAGNUM4342 replied to AMT Pacemakers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not sure when they came out, but I had a 1972 Charger that had orange plug wires and a 1978 Dodge Magnum that had blue ones. -
This is the same guy that mastered the Torino/Cyclone kits too. I prayed for patience and god sent me a Polar Lights Charger kit!

Very nice. I especially like the detailing on the wheels.

Try contacting Polar Lights. The bumper is still around in thier General Lee kits.

I think a community build is a great idea, but how could it be worked to benefit cancer research? -
Futurabat did say, the car only ran that way at Daytona.

Rubber ducky, you're the one... I got my rubber duck hood ornament so i'll be starting the build soon. I got to see Death Proof over the weekend. Man! What a crying sissy he turned out to be. Anyway, I would appreciate any info on the Death Proof Charger's interior. I have most of the other info I need. Thanks to everyone who has already responded with information about these three cars.

Tell me if i'm the one who's crazy. I've recently bought several items on ebay, one of them from a member here. Once a buyer has paid for his item in a timely manner or within the seller's allotted time, he deserves good feedback right? As a buyer i've lived up to my end by paying promptly for my item. Yet there seems to be a trend, that sellers expect you to leave them high praise without having to leave the buyer any feedback or after the buyer has given feedback. Am I crazy or is my line of thinking wrong? Buyer pays, gets good feedback, when the item arrives safely and as described, the seller gets good feedback. It's only right! The seller who is a member here (and I won't say who) may have simply forgotten and i'll give him benefit of the doubt even though the item was never marked as shipped either, but it seems to be an ever growing trend that sellers only care about feedback when it's positive for them. Why is that? I know it's not right, you all know it's not right, so why do so many sellers get away with this? Some of them even ask for positive feedback in thier ads! Yet ebay does nothing.

Revell Chargers have seperate wipers and door handles, as do most Tamiya and Italiri kits. If Revell can pull it off and keep thier prices competitive I don't really understand why others can't. It has nothing to do with fragility. I've had dozens of the aforementioned kits and not one of the wipers came out broken. It might be a tooling cost issue, but to me it's just laziness issue when you compare them to the foreign kits I mentioned. I would pay Tamiya prices for a Revell or MPC kit if the tooling warranted it.

That engine looks fantastic!

Now there's a rail with bite! Very nicely done. Love the green paint.

That would be the 1975/1976 Laguna kit. Not a very good nose casting at that. -
Super Boss Parts to Cast?
MAGNUM4342 replied to ARTEMIS1759's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I've never seen (or maybe just didn't notice) other trucks of that design. Would you know the names of them so I can look for them? -
Super Boss Parts to Cast?
MAGNUM4342 replied to ARTEMIS1759's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thank you. I never got a chance to own these when they first came out but i've coveted them for years. I did contact Polar Lights about a possible reissue. They said they would look into it but not to hope too high. -
Super Boss Parts to Cast?

Artemis, if you plan at all to cast up the bed section from either of the haulers keep me in mind. I could use one or two for race car haulers. Thanks.
