This model was inspired by Bill Peratt’s Pinkee built Chopped 3-Window Deuce Coupe. It will be one of two Deuces that will appear on the poster for the Deuce Days in Scale Model Car Show that will take place in Victoria BC Canada Sunday July 24, 2016 in conjunction Northwest Deuce Days that happens every three years and has become one of the premier hot rod events. It attracts over 800 pre-1952 cars. Of those over half are Deuces. Once the Deuce Days in Scale poster is ready I will post more information on the model car show.

Final assembly of body, fenders and exterior fittings took me all day. At first the hood did not properly align with the cowl. This was as a result of me attaching the grill shell to the frame before painting. I will never do that again. I was fortunate I was able to remove and refit it without wrecking anything. Once the body was securely attached the grill shell was aligned with the hood before re-gluing. I may have lost a millimetre or two where the dash meets the bottom of the cut down windshield frame and the thickness of the epoxy I used to attach the body assembly to the chassis.

I have to retake photos of engine and interior as I noticed a couple things missing.

Jim - The stripe is sign vinyl cut as narrow as I could. Looks straight to the eye but the camera picks up any imperfections!

A perfect, SHINY :) :) :) hot rod.

Is the stripe paint or tape?

You did a great job on this one. Have to second the NW Deuce Days event, we've attended two of the shows definitely eye candy overload. My uncle showed his Flamed Gards Red '32 3W there a few times before he sold it, (that's how we found out about the show in the first place).
