JohnnyK Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Attached are photos of my two Revell 1932 Fords. The blue one is the 5 Window Coupe and the yellow one is the Rat Roadster. Both are painted with Testors' rattle cans and both cars have ignition wiring. I warmed the paint cans in warm water before spraying. That made a really noticeable difference in reduction of orange peel. These were both fun builds.
High octane Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Nice pair of Deuces John, and I use "rattle cans" exclusively. It seems to work for me.
oldscool Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Both look great to me and yellow is a good color for the Rat Roaster.
JohnnyK Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 I agree, the yellow is a great color for the Rat. The green that is shown on the box just looks awful.
crazyjim Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Couple of real nice hot rods. You ought to think about coming to a FAST meeting, John. 1st Saturday of each month at the Hobby Lobby in Ocala at 10:00am. Yes - we'll be meeting next Saturday morning on July 4.
Jim Whalen Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 Nice pair of rods! I have those kits waiting to be built - it is nice to see how they can turn out when built well like yours have been.
JohnnyK Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 What brand of paint do you use? I have been using Testors but I am running out of colors.
smellyfatdude Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 They're both terrific, but that five window is the real star, in my opinion. There's just something about a full fendered, non-chopped coupe that appeals to me, big time. In fact, I've been planning a similar build for awhile, in that same color scheme. Nice to see a preview!
blunc Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 those are a couple great looking deuces. it looks like the front fender mounts on the Rat Roaster may have been swapped.
