MGL Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Ha! I just mentioned in your post with the 48 chevy how I would like to see more of this and here it is! Thanks for posting, it looks great.
towman1271 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 That turned out totally amazing..Great job!
disabled modeler Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Douglas...that is awesome..! I am a camper nut just too cool.
Maindrian Pace Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Looks great, love the gas stain on the cab 1/4. Great diorama scene, really brings the model to life.
Sixties Sam Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 (edited) Great looking truck and camper! Nice realistic scene, too! Good work! Sam Edited September 16, 2015 by Sixties Sam
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Very nice build!! The gas stain is typical of those trucks and is a very nice touch to that model! The tire on the front was a nice touch as well. I had a customer who had a Ford with the tire mounted like that. It made it hard for a short man like myself to reach the front of the engine to work on it. It looks cool though, and a nice realistic touch.....Brian
gatorincebu Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Doug, Great looking camper, enhanced by the background in the photos!! Be Well Gator
wku88 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Nice work! Where did you get the KY plates? I'm not sure you know, but KY has never had front plates.
wayne swayze Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 That looks great! Saw it when I looked at your lovely Chevy earlier. Any interior detail?
The Modeling Hermit Posted September 19, 2015 Author Posted September 19, 2015 I think that the plates were in the kit. I'm not familiar with each states laws, but they were better than some of the strange "personalized" plates that the manufacturers place on the decal sheets. Thanks for the info.
charlie8575 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 That looks great. How did you rig up the grille-mounted spare tire?Charlie Larkin
carrucha Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Looks good. Nice job adapting the El Camino camper.
rmvw guy Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 It looks like the '70s, I remember seeing a lot of these on the road. Nice, clean build. The spare had to be out front or maybe a small motorbike.
The Modeling Hermit Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Charlie, I just used the kit's spare tire and built a brace from Plastruct strips.
