Dr. Cranky Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Here's THE PAUPER, the first half of THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, two versions of the 29 Ford Special Edition out from Revell.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Just a few more for good measure.
vintagercr Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hey Doc, that looks great. I was finally able to find your book Ratz, Rodz and Rust. It's great!
Tom Geiger Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Very cool build and right in my sweet spot! I have this kit laid out before me right now, planning on doing a shiny build (unusual for me) and I was swearing I wouldn't do this.... hmmmmmm...
rmvw guy Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 You are an artist with another blank canvas, love it! Hope to see many more of these from you like your '50 Chevys.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 23, 2015 Author Posted September 23, 2015 Thank you, fellas, and please keep an eye out for THE PRINCE coming up.
Danno Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 Gnarly-nice. But given the spreader bar between the frame horns, should we be calling you 'Dr. Cammy' now?
Harry P. Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 That's cool!Where did you get the camshaft from?
Crazy Ed Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I like this one the most of the two. Sans the Shull Exhaust "tips" it could have been a daily driver for a guy in High School in the 60's. Gonna guess the Cam is from a Pars Pack Engine, nice touch.

Gonna guess the Cam is from a Pars Pack Engine, nice touch. Funny you should mention that. I was thinking of building mine as a "high school hot rod" circa 1963-65, perhaps a resurrected and slightly updated late '50s car. (I'm planning to put it on the chassis of the '29 pickup, and use the truck body on the new chassis.) BTW, this is a really nice model--for some reason, I like it a lot!

Pop a 2bbl on a Nailhead, add a pair of Glasspacks and for Gawds sake DON'T forget the STP Sticker!! Lookin' forward to your build!! And Doc, Well Done.
Darbo Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Another cool build, love the cracked windscreen.
shucky Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Looks great Doc, nice to see you posting again.
carrucha Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Good job on the beater rod. Very authentic looking.
Kenny B Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Doc, very nice job. We have one driving around in our town that looks in about the same condition. Ken.
