I should add that this kit is NOT for the faint of heart, and I can see where it could take two kits to make this one right. I did the same as you and turned mine into a D-Type, and one of the biggest challenges was to make sure the engine sat below the cowl line at all times so that the hood would shut.

Some careful planning makes for a very nice model such as yours, and this is one I wish would get reissued again sometime. They don't turn up on the 'Bay often and even at model shows, I seldom see 'em.

The reasons for needing two kits.......MrObsessive is correct! And in addition to that, whenever I open up panels or correct kit makers seam lines - I am the type of builder who will use two kits. One kit to save the doors, panel, hood, etc. and use the second one to save the body. The Jaguar body had to be glued together before painting so I cut open the body panel around the seats so that the interior parts could still be put in, this also corrected the wrong seams that were in front of the rear wheel well. Certainly one of the most beautiful cars ever made by man.  Great job on it Dann and your detailing is fantastic.  kudos to you, cheers, tim
