Lunajammer Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Yeah, that's a sad development. He was an asset around here.
bobss396 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I haven't been around much with the passing of my wife in 2014 and being consumed with a 1:1 car project.I learned yesterday of the passing of John Agugliaro, known as NYJON58 on some of the boards. He lived in Queens NY with his wife Amy, super people and I ran into them at shows all the time. I haven't heard anything about arrangements so far, but will get back to post it here. There was something on the Hobby Heaven board the other day.Bob
Roadrunner Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Though I'm a comparative newbie here, all the posts I ever saw from him were amiable. Always sad to lose a decent person and brother modeler. This all seems rather abrupt, does anyone know what the cause of his death was?
ZTony8 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I,too, used to chat with John on the old A.O.L. board and did finally meet him at the N.N.L. in Toledo back in the 90s.Sad to hear of his passing.

crazyjim Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 That sucks!! I never met John but he seemed like such a nice guy. I think he was planning on moving soon. I'm really bummed out over his passing.
Metalmad Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Sorry to hear,Condolences & prayers to his family.
wayne swayze Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 My friend Ed and I met in the very early sixties. We were both into model cars. We shared cars and/or parts frequently, 0 which pleased both of us. We were never "big" names in the hobby, but we were good friends for over fifty years. Ed passed away last spring from cancer, and I lost a truly great friend. I have his custom '49 Merc in the centre of my display case...unfinished from the sixties. Sure miss him.
Lespaultazz Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 Very sad to hear this, my friend Gary is in LIARS
Agent G Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 I have in my collection an armor model built by the late Roger Harney. Mr. Harney knew my brother in law and the topic of my hobby arose one time during conversation. Mr Harney gave Bert several kits and the built model to send to me. He autographed the tank before sending it. Sadly, Roger Harney passed away shortly before the package was delivered.I'll get a photo up later today.G
von Zipper Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Over the last 10 years or so since these on line model forums have come to be , there have been a few people that were members and passed away .A few that come to mind :Ed>62ssJerry>LUKE'57Matt>Mojo DoctorJohn>Fastback340And a few resin suppliers :Ron CashRay ParsonRoss Gibsonas time goes by I'm sure we will lose more people , it's a fact of life .We should be grateful to have this forum and the opportunity to know these people that share the same interest . Maybe instead of being so quick to judge each other as just characters on the internet and understand that we are all real live people on the other side of the screen with real life struggles .
Greg Myers Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 You know you're movin' on , when the good go before you.
