oldnslow Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Wife and I went to see Star Wars, good movie, great special effects but disappointed with not enough back ground about some of the characters and the ending.

High octane Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 We watch the Polar Express as a Christmas Eve tradition....lovely story, great animationWe have the Lionel Polar Express train set around our Christmas tree, and my grandson loves it. When the tree comes down, I'm gonna add 'bout 40 more pieces of track and ad a tunnel and train platform as well. I'll be he's gonna go wild!
unclescott58 Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 The only thing that's on...The Christmas Story. LolStill my favorite Christmas movie. "Some people's fathers are Protestants. Some are Catholics. My old man is is Oldsmobile man." "That BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Oldsmobile would freeze up in the middle summer on the equator."How can you beat lines like that?
Harry Joy Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 I finished introducing my wife to the original Star Wars, in the expectation that we'll see the new one in a week or so. She was not put off by Ewoks in the slightest.

madhorseman Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 "Christmas Vacation", and "Surviving Christmas"
espo Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 My wife and I just got back from seeing the new Ron Howard movie about Moby Dick, Into The Middle of the Sea or something like that. Very amazing, what can you say, it's Ron Howard so you know it will be good.

madhorseman Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 A classic, my recording of A Christmas Carol, the 1984 version with George C. Scott.I watched this one 2 nights ago!! Another of my favorite Christmas season movies.
slusher Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I'm assuming the Kong remake with Adrien Brody? It was brilliant! The original PB was also brilliant!Yes, saw King Kong with Brody and Naomi Watts at the theater when it came out and been hooked ever since. I do have both dvd's..
Snake45 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Still my favorite Christmas movie. "Some people's fathers are Protestants. Some are Catholics. My old man is is Oldsmobile man." "That BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Oldsmobile would freeze up in the middle summer on the equator."How can you beat lines like that?If you like the movie, have you read the original Jean Shepard stories on which it's based? If not, get the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash. His writing was even funnier than the movie.
Snake45 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I'm now up to episode 5 of the current season of American Horror Story. It's about the most UN-Christmassy thing I can imagine. Yikes!
