And on the first drive out of the art garage it started to rain and they realized they'd used water soluable markers rather then permanent ones, and a piece of art (?) became  environmental pollution.

I wondered about that myself. I hope since they went through all the time and effort doing this, they did something to make it last. Or maybe that's part of the plan, an ever changing custom "paint" job.

As for my opinion, I think it was somebody on too much dope.

The artist, or the owner?  :P

I guess you guys don't Have to like it, but thanks for your post...................

It is interesting and different. I guess that's an alternative for using paint to do such an elaborate scheme. That would cost a pretty penny to paint that.

One of Walter White's customers, perhaps?

Looks like it's clear-coated. He's going to get a surprise in a few weeks or months when the Sharpie starts "bleeding" right through the clear.

Then again, that might look cool too.

Then again, weren't Von Dutch and Ed Roth?

Kenneth Howard aka Von Dutch was a heavy duty alcoholic, chain smoker; take your pick of which led to his demise.   Ed Roth on the other hand with the exception of his foray into the biker world was a pretty clean cut family man.  He went off the deep end the last part of his life into mormonism, not drugs or drink.  Neither Howard or Roth were huge druggies, both of their biographers are pretty clear on that point!  There have been a few books written about both no one ever tries to hide the fact Kenneth Howard was a chain smoker and heavy beer drinker who drank from the time he woke up until he passed out. (He sounds like he had emphysema in the last few videos he allowed Ed Roth and a few of his other friends to film.). In my opinion Kenneth Von Dutch Howard died a pretty lonely old guy, really a sad story of someone  who could have made money if alcohol hadn't claimed him or his talent.  Ed Roth, was really an interesting schemer who knew just what people, read that teenagers thought was cool, if they didn't he let them know it was!

Thanks Skip! It just baffles me that some folks assume someone is creative only because they have a substance abuse problem.

Maybe hit up a museum once in a while and get the idea of the creative process. Sure, I would assume some used drugs to help out, but not all of them.

Probably not a bad way to get to know the artist, that must have taken hours during which there would be plenty of time to chit chat. I've known guys to go to a lot more trouble and expense to meet a girl. ;)
