Mr Dedo Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Really neat chop on that top. Those bodies always looked the best painted a warm gold and covered in thick coats of clear.
bisc63 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Really impressive how well that body style responded to the top chop. Loving this!

Jantrix Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 1. I'm not a big custom guy. In most cases I prefer the stock proportions and trim. 2. I really like this one. The mods are subtle and could easily have been stock had a different designer been on the job that day. The top chop is particularly good. Well done.

espo Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 The tail lamp design looks nice as it follows the basic body design. With the Blue color fade the roof has a better looking flow onto the quarter panels.
Can-Con Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 (edited) OK, so ,, Got the '67 Pontiac done. Time to get back to work on this puppy. Ya know, I've never been really happy with the paint on this car. It seems to be missing something, even after I foiled the trim and put the windows in. I really think it needs a bit more paint. Can-Con Posted June 29, 2019 Author Posted June 29, 2019 Been working on the interior.I ground the seat inserts out with my Dremmel and cut the inserts from the door panels with the back of my X-acto and a razor saw. The new pleated inserts are 1/2 round rod glued to thin sheet stock. I'll also be putting a new floor in that's a bit deeper than how the part was cast.
Fish_65 Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 (edited) Great project Steve. Can't wait to see it done. Your custom body mods look great and really accentuate the car's original lines. Paint job is sweet too. You don't see enough custom/modified early 60's Mopars. I think they make great platforms for this kind of build. Edited July 1, 2019 by Fish_65
OldNYJim Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Stunning! The body mods are tastefully done, but really make a big difference and that paintjob with the fades is just gorgeous. Great build!
Can-Con Posted August 15, 2019 Author Posted August 15, 2019 Finally got around to doing the tail lights. Just shaped from red sprue with clear backup lights from clear sprue. I've also been working on the interior but not enough progress on that for pics yet.
Modlbldr Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Beautiful job! Couldn't get any better. Later-
Sixties Sam Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Very nice! Great body work! I like the light treatments - front and back. Sam
John Goschke Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 The taillights look terrific, along with everything else about this build, Steve. Maybe I missed it, but what wheels and tires are you running?
randyc Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 (edited) I'm just seeing this. Here's a car that was at the GAA auction this year. MAybe a little more inspiration to keep plugging away! Can't wait to see this one done! Edited August 16, 2019 by randyc

Flawless bodywork, tasteful customizing, chopped top and pastel pearl paint ,,,, that has to be a Richard Zocchi car. ?? Him , John D'Agostino and Rick Dore are my favorite customisers. I also liked the Astro Supremes you showed at the beginning of this thread but I'm curious about what kind of rolling stock you will choose in the end!
