Dave Metzner Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The second Moebius '65 Plymouth - a Belvedere I sedan will be on the boat with our new Batmobile - should leave around the end of January. This is a 2 door sedan with a 426 wedge - it's a 4 speed car and includes parts to build a Max Wedge engine. tires are new street radials with a pair of drag radials as well - the kit also includes both steel wheels and dog-dish hub caps as well as a set of mag wheels.
unclescott58 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Even though I have no interest in this one, I like the fact that keep us up to date Dave. And, just because my interest is low, it doesn't mean I don't think you have another winner on your hands. I'm sure you do. It sounds like something a lot of builders will be hot for.
Danno Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Sounds great, Dave!!! And, based on pix I saw on another board, it looks even better!!!! Another "Can't Wait" from Moebius. As we DJs used to say in the rock-n-roll Top 40 days: "And the hits keep on comin'!"
RAT-T Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 THANKS DAVE, LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ONE.WOULD YOU HAVE AN ETA ON THE '65 COMET?THANKS
louie Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Thanks Dave, I appreciate that you take the time to update us on your progress with the kits. I can't wait for this one ( very, very happy ) and then some. Jeff
ChrisBcritter Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Good to hear! I've held back on buying Moebius kits, but I really want this one to convert to a 4-door Chicago police car. Will it have a bench seat?
charlie8575 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Add Slant Six and TorqueFlite, and it'll look good on my shelf. Charlie Larkin
Luc Janssens Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Ah...the third kit I was waiting for to complete my order at my favorite hobby dealer.
Tom99 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Add Slant Six and TorqueFlite, and it'll look good on my shelf. Charlie LarkinYes!
Mr mopar Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 this one sound Awesome ,Dave do you think we might ever see a 1970 Dodge Charger RT ?
Luc Janssens Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) this one sound Awesome ,Dave do you think we might ever see a 1970 Dodge Charger RT ?Not Dave...but think it's unlikely, Revell having a '68 & '69 kills the possibility of siblings. Edited January 23, 2016 by Luc Janssens
Bennyg Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Dave Metzner, you're spoiling those car guys. Any big rigs in the pipeline? Looking forward to seeing what people do worth the cars anyway.Ben
High octane Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 no bench seat. A bench seat can be made from two bucket seats if one really wants it. If you did put in a bench seat, then you'll have others wanting a slant six. It's a "given."

So glad to see it coming, but the tire choice is a HUGE disappointment as I assume these same tires will be in said upcoming Melrose Missle kit .

Will it have a bench seat?Chris,I don't how Chicago PD equipped there cars in back then but I can say that the Plymouth Belvedere Police Package was available with bucket seats on both the 2 Door and 4 Door sedans in '65. I'm already working on 65 Plymouth Belvedere 2 Door State Patrol car based on this kit and I will be using the bucket seats.Steve
jeffbrad Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Can't wait for this one. Thanks For this one Dave. Gonna do several. What about back dating it to a 63 post. Just have to do a new body and maybe interior
Mr mopar Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Not Dave...but think it's unlikely, Revell having a '68 & '69 kills the possibility of siblings.I don't see Revell doing one anytime soon !
Luc Janssens Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I don't see Revell doing one anytime soon !Never say never, look how long we had to wait, for a stock '48 Ford Coup.
Jim_Kampmann Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Here are some box art photos from another board. Thanks, Jim Kampmann

gtx6970 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) I hate to keep being a negative nelly. And I really want this kit much more so than the hardtop. But as far as I know NO 426 wedge ( max or otherwise ) ever used the large oval air cleaner shown. and on a RB series engine,,,,Chrome valve covers were 426 street wedge onlyThe oval air cleaner is 426 Hemi Only Edited January 24, 2016 by gtx6970
Mike Chernecki Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 This is the body style I have been waiting for. Anyone know of any online shops taking pre-orders? I havn't seen this one listed anywhere yet.
