I tend to do just as much (or as little) modeling in the summer, as I do in winter.

X2...

Although,...Golf does tend to get in the way, after Easter;)

Don't forget the cucumbers.

Perhaps, if there's room. I need to plant 50% more tomatoes than what I need, to offset what the squirrels will take or destroy.

Squirrels, rabbits, possum, raccoon, and other critters ruined my veggie garden too many times.  I turned the area into a palm tree farm.  It's doing very well.

It's just as miserable hot and sticky here in the summer, as it is cold and wet in the winter, so most of my modeling peaks in the summer and winter, but I still manage to work on hobby stuff all year around, regardless.

Too nice outside now so nothing going on in the basement but a cold front is coming with more rain and will be colder so I will be in the basement next week, got most of what I need to do so maybe I can finish two models before it stays warm.

Due to the rain this week I got alot done so it has not ended yet but the days are numbered,I finished the 50 Olds and want to finish two restorations before I officially quit building for the year.

Interesting. I wasn't aware there was a "season". I've always worked on whatever I wanted whenever I felt like it...and had the time.

I'm buried under paperwork that has to be done by tomorrow, Monday, as well as extensive parts research for a real mechanical restoration project.

Maybe I'll have time next week.

Having to make a living can really get in the way of playtime.

There is a season for me,when it gets warm I am outside and models are on the back of my mind until it rains or get everything else I want done. I am ready to ride the motorcycle on nice weekends and not spend much time in the house.

Oh I remember Going the IPMS nats in Phoenix some time back and was walking from the restaurant(or was it the bar, I can't remember) at 11 at night and it was 113 out.  That is what keeps me in SoCal.  ;);)

Yes, the late night still in the 100 degree range does suck very much

There hasn't been a model building season here for a long time!  Since the first of the year it was NNL East planning and working long hours and weekends in the office. I'm part of a global software deployment, that goes live on the 22nd.  Yea, that's a Sunday.  We'll be in the war room 24/7 that weekend, and until we are sure we're up and running.

"Modeling Season" is a figment of our imagination, it's all about priorities and what you want to do, there's just more outside activities/resposibilities available when it warms up.

Yea, I feel guilty if I work on models during daylight hours during the summer!  It's a combination of  "there must be a job I should be doing"  to  "I'm paying big money to maintain this friggin pool, so I'd better use it!"

While I try to build all year round, I just hit a "slump" last month after the Milwaukee NNL. I hope that it doesn't last too long as I have a LOT of kits I'd like to build.

Complete opposite here, when it warms up, I keep my butt inside,  its not very fun being out in 110-120 temp doing stuff .
