Pretty good selection of automotive kits plus all the military stuff. A little bit of everything there. Dave Van Posted June 6 Posted June 6 Ours got the 32 and 56 Fords........I bought the puzzle X Wing as I like those. 1
bobss396 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Hit or miss for models by me. I got a pair of Grumpys Toy Vegas... opened up 1. A terrible kit by today's standards. I recall on eBay around 1999, an OG kit fetched between $350 and over $500. 1 1 1
meechum68 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) I will head to Ollie's today. The last time I went they had a few boat kits, but nothing I like. No planes, no cars or trucks. Well my Ollie's was a bust... they are so hit and miss. Edited June 7 by meechum68 1

I was tempted to get the Kenworth Ready-Mix truck too, but passed. Also, had a 15% coupon which was a nice surprise. 2
rattle can man Posted Thursday at 07:59 PM Posted Thursday at 07:59 PM Ollie's grand opening today. they had 1 late model camaro, 1 e-type (opened box) Fendt or Porsche tractors (can;t remember which)and ships.
Rbray47 Posted Friday at 04:38 PM Posted Friday at 04:38 PM I stopped in one of the Lexington KY stores this morning. They had a couple dozen 1/32 semi trailers and several hundred Atlantis ships and planes. I bought the only Revell Porsche tractor there. Maybe I can change the sheet metal and make it into an old Kubota. The store in Richmond Ky was pretty bare a couple months ago. Doubt it's worth stopping in.
bandit1 Posted Saturday at 12:23 AM Posted Saturday at 12:23 AM Was in Southside Parkersburg location the other day, couldn't find a single model any kind, anywhere... maybe here I might stop into the Marietta Ohio location and see if they have anything in the next couple days?
atomicholiday Posted Saturday at 11:13 AM Posted Saturday at 11:13 AM They come in waves. Right now seems like the low point. They’ll probably be back closer to the end of the year.
meechum68 Posted Saturday at 12:01 PM Posted Saturday at 12:01 PM I am gonna slip into my local one in Owasso OK, and hoping they have something. Last time I was there it was a couple ships and some card stock stuff.
1930fordpickup Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM Posted Sunday at 06:11 PM I am thinking that the 1/32 scale trailers cut down would make a nice box for the back of the pickups. Am I way off on this? 1
Mark Posted Sunday at 08:14 PM Posted Sunday at 08:14 PM The 1/32 scale semi chassis make decent 1/25 scale medium duty truck chassis, like under Jimmy Flintstone phantom crew cabs and such. Strange, but the Ollie's stores around here had the 1/32 scale reefer trailers but no trucks.

stavanzer Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago There are no current 1/32 truck kits in the discount pipeline. Sure Wish I could lay my hands on a Bainbridge and a John Paul Jones destroyer. My Dad was a Destroyer Crewman.
oldcarfan Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Big Lots closed and Ollie's just moved into their spot. It's the first in this area. I went by for the grand opening but no kits of any kind. I'll keep checking.
stavanzer Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago All the Big Lots here in California are closed, but no sign of Ollies.

No Ollies on the west coast, and wouldn't bet on that changing anytime soon. Currently the furthest west they go is Texas/Oklahoma/Kansas/Nebraska. 1

To expand on the 1/32 scale trucks just a bit, the AMT kits have solid vinyl tires while the Monogram kits have one-piece plastic tires that are open on the back side. The AMT tires are a passable stand-in for 1/25 scale medium-duty truck tires. 2
