keyser Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 71-75. About 450-650 of them. Plus Amazing Baja 1000 truck. Stroppe Baja Bronco Denver Bronco variant of Stroppe Bronco Big Oly and Minolta trucks.
Ben Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) We think alikeI have a ficticious model box of that Bronco Buster funny car with the kit in the box! Resin body, aftermarket decals and a Polar lights funny car chassis kit. I took it to the Hobbytown here in San Antonio and had them seal it to protect the box. Edited July 10, 2016 by Ben
Aaronw Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Excited about the Bronco, and share the hope for a half top "pickup" option. Curious about the engine, it would be nice to have another 6, but expect it will come with the optional 289 or 302 V8. I was hoping for a full detail Corvette. The Bronco is a nice surprise, anyone know what year it may be, side marker indicate it may be 1970-1977. Is there much difference between 1966-1977?Side marker lights became a requirement in 1968. I don't think there were many changes during its production other than engines offered, so this could potentially represent all but the first 2 years of production, and possibly even those with a little work (removing the side markers).
charlie8575 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 The Bronco is cool; like others, I'm a bit surprised at who ended up doing it.Wouldn't mind another '57 150. I'd like to build a Utility (business) Sedan.Yeah, I'm in the no more Tri-5 chorus, but at the same time, I think it's time for some cars that haven't been done to be done, including a properly-executed '56 Sport Coupe (I'd love it if they had separate trim like the old Revell '56 2-door sedan so you could do either a Bel-Air or 210.) Others I'd like to see are a new '57 Nomad and at least one year of Handyman wagon.Charlie Larkin

The '56 Sport Coupe you mentioned was another one of those listed on the "Wish List" I posted about at the NNL East. Let's see if they finally come through with at least the Nomad and the '56 Bel Air Sport Coupe in the not too distant future. I don't hold out much hope for the Handyman Wagon, although they did do the '57 Ford Del Rio.
Dragline Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I was pretty stoked about the chopper until............SQUARE forktubes?!?! UGGGGH I'll probably snag a few anyway!!! Is it a shovel or ?I'm pretty sure it's a Shovel... Those square tubes are goin bye bye.... More importantly. Who is K Daniel???? Look at the sig for the new art.
unclescott58 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Wow We ! a Bronco so cool . and the Tom Daniel's Grim Reaper................ here is the New art work for this bike. I have no interest in this kit at all. But, I do love the new box art! Very cool.
mikemodeler Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Here is a photo Robert Glucksman Shared with me on Facebook of the Revell Bronco... That body looks spot on and much better than any resin kit that has been offered over the years. If those tires are actual kit parts, then I have to say Revell really did their homework!

Muncie Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 kind of off topic... but... A 1956 Chevrolet 210 2 door wagon would clear every work bench here!interested in a couple of the new releases - not so interested in the Bronco but good to see it as a new kit.
martinfan5 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 The only real interest I have is the Vette, but will probably get the Bronco
Bill J Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 The Bronco is one I want, used to have a nice 70 model, wish I still had it! One of my favorite kits from recently is the 57 Chevy Black Widow, Well done kit, I do wish they'd throw in a back seat and a 6 cylinder engine to make a plain old 150. Still, a great kit. A new type Corvette may be a popular one, nicest 'vette in decades. Keep it up Revell
Exotics_Builder Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 The only real interest I have is the Vette, but will probably get the BroncoWith you on that. But the Bronco is a BIG maybe

Sledsel Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) That body looks spot on and much better than any resin kit that has been offered over the years. If those tires are actual kit parts, then I have to say Revell really did their homework! Not to me. Looks decent though. Body from the chrome to top of the door looks to thick (maybe the door handle is in the wrong place) and as with many other Revell kits, the body seems to flat. The sides of those Broncos are not flat but have a gentle roll and the rockers roll under. The kit would be a 70-76 model by the side marker light location Edited July 11, 2016 by Sledsel
keyser Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) The top pic is an Ikon modded Bronco. The side markers are low compared to the ones on the Stroppe factory pic above. The blue truck side markers are mounted upside down. I guess they're both 76-77's, but I wouldn't base judgment on either of those. Icon has the Icon/Bronco badge and grille. The blue one looks like a quick and dirty resale resto. Here's a vid of a very minty 71 for reference. Nice truck. Long gone. Edited July 11, 2016 by keyser
Sledsel Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 66 & 67 did not have marker lights, 68 & 69 they are mounted low, 70 and up mounted higher. (yes, ones on blue truck are upside down) 72 had an argent grill on the Ranger trim versions, in 76 there was a special decor group with a flat black grill.
unclescott58 Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Here is a photo Robert Glucksman Shared with me on Facebook of the Revell Bronco... The Bonco above looks great! I can't wait.
Ron Hamilton Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 First gen Bronco? Hooray!! You know what this means? Now, at last, we'll finally have standard full wheel covers for the 1966 Galaxie! I hope that the wheelcovers are the right diameter and depth.

A 1956 Chevrolet 210 2 door wagon would clear every work bench here!interested in a couple of the new releases - not so interested in the Bronco but good to see it as a new kit. Or a 150 wagon, for that matter. Is there a racing tie-in to the 210 Handyman, or just because it is what it is?Charlie Larkin
keyser Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Cool info. I've seen the low on some but far more mid. I'm too old to remember. You always have great ford facts. I learned something ? Edited July 12, 2016 by keyser
Muncie Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Charlie, yeah, the 210 Handyman kit is probably a selfish request - first car... now a pile of parts... to be a retirement project... the rest is a long story...It is good to see some other people making requests for 2-door wagon kits - I know a local club member who is converting a Modelhuas S/D to a 210 Handyman - it's posted here and nicely done. The 150 could be an easy two in one - Panel inserts for the sedan delivery, clear windows for the 150 Handyman. - don't know an easy way to convert the trim to 210 series...When 1955, 1956, and 1957 Chevrolets ruled Junior Stock drag racing, any model or engine combination worked in some class - I suppose wagons worked because all that glass added weight on the rear axle...
Robberbaron Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Nothing earthshaking for me in this announcement. Glad to see the black widow '57 back, since I missed it originally when it was first released.Think I'll also get one of those Caddy kits. I also would love to see a factory stock version, but this is honestly another one of those where I'm just happy that a kit exists of the subject, period.I have zero interest in the Bronco, but glad to see it being released, since I've been seeing a LOT of interest in this as a kit subject the last couple years. Kind of like the Moebius Ford trucks, the 1:1s are so far off my radar I never would have guessed there was so much demand for a kit subject. Edited July 12, 2016 by Robberbaron
socal76 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) tonye66 and KWT, how come you didn't list the fact you wanted a Baretta Pro Street? I could have traded you each one and got something I needed! LOL. I still would have had 3 left plus a couple of the Dobbertin kits. Amazing what you find when you are digging for other kits. Saw your posts and had to smart off about each of them. And I could have made it real easy for each of you. I need two of the Revell '64 Impala kits. Now if you posted that you wanted the Baretta kit, can I use the excuse that I am old since I just had a birthday??? LOL Edited July 12, 2016 by socal76
