Can-Con Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Here's what I started with,, ,, And here's the finished restoration,,,
disconovaman Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 This is Amazing! Had I not seen the before pictures I'd swear it was an out of the box build. Looks like a fresh build.
Snake45 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Beautiful! Great pearl yellow color--what was the paint again? You should be very proud of bringing this one back from the land of the Styrene Dead.
Sport Suburban Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Very nice, you did a great job! I really like the blue band across the windshield! Nice touch.
Can-Con Posted August 2, 2016 Author Posted August 2, 2016 Thanks guys. Here's a link to the build album if anyone's interested.http://public.fotki.com/SteveMilberry/projects/66-corvette-cvt/
Modlbldr Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Very nice indeed. I love the color. I can't wait to dig into my 63, 65 and 67 rebuilds. I may have to go with this color on my 67. My 63 is going to take quite a bit of work like yours. Seems the previous owner glued rectangle taillights on it similar to a 67 Firebird. I may have to do the triple taillight treatment too. Love that look.Later-
Grumpa Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Very nice save Steve! I love the yellow pearl color! Nice choice!
XJ6 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I need a vette in my collection and that one would work ?Nice very nice

Lordmodelbuilder Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Great rebuild of an old junker. I am working on a 66 right now.
Mr Stock Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Great resto Steve, There's a massive satisfaction in bringing one of these oldies back from the dead, I love doing them myself.
