Harry P. Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 This is another Italeri kit, like the Fiat Mefistofele I posted previously. Not an easy kit to build... too many parts interfere with the location of other parts, meaning a lot of modifying of parts is needed, and even then there is still a lot of frustration in getting everything to go where it's supposed to go. In the end, many parts really aren't lined up well, especially in the engine compartment. This one is definitely not one of my best efforts, it was just that frustrating to build. WIP here if you're interested...
Earl Marischal Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Looks pretty darn good to me.(And a lot more interesting than a Vauxhall Corsa...)steve
MrObsessive Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Not my usual era of cars, but Harry that is simply a masterpiece! If there are any flaws I sure can't see 'em!
Ramfins59 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 As frustrating as it may have been for you Harry, it sure came out looking pretty darn good.
Twokidsnosleep Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Beautiful, such a sleek simple shapeI love the photo of the two together for the comparison of size

landman Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I never tire of looking at your work. It is inspiring.
Dragline Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 You made it look it fell together Harry. And that is the key. Taking a pile and turning it into something, in this case beautiful.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Harry looks good to me. Sorry to hear that it wasn't a good building experience. Still a nice and clean build. Hopefully your next project will go smoother.
Crazy Ed Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Harry I do enjoy seeing your Projects (whoops, almost said Builds................). The Subject matter is interesting and the W.I.P.'s can be considered Tutorials followed with results well worth waiting for. Another Well Done.
aurfalien Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Wow, utter beauty ad perfection!Makes me wanna change subject matter to era of cars you build.Man that looks wonderful, love the tire print too, wow.
Ken Gilkeson Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 beautiful build and photos, get well Harry.
10thumbs Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 The model looks excellent to me. I don't have a clue about cars from this era, be them race cars or coaches, but I can easily enjoy the view.Very intricate and lots of fine detailing, a very enthusing model to appreciate.I like it a lot and find that it's very interesting. Well done.
gtx6970 Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Got a question,Were white letter tires even avail then ?
Matt Bacon Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 That looks absolutely fabulous, Harry. So crisp and neatly detailed. I wonder how the performance compared: I suspect the little'un could run rings round the monster in a real race...Now if only they'd add a couple of similar Alfa classics to that range... All te best,M.
FordRodnKustom Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Looks great from here, very detailed and realistic despite your build fit issues. Proof positive that persistence pays off! Well done.
