bbowser Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Great work on that engine, could pass for 1:1. Nicely done.
Davewilly Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Super nice little truck! The weathering on the headers looks great!
Codi Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Very cool build John. I especially like the wheels. What kit / or who machined them if I may ask? We don't see many pick-ups and this is executed nicely. cheers, tim
TooOld Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Super nice looking '28 John ! Just shows what can be done without buying all the fancy aftermarket goodies !
johnz Posted January 25, 2017 Author Posted January 25, 2017 tim,the back wheels are from revell's 66 penske corvette i just changed the offset and made them deeper.there's no metal here 100% plasticthanks to everyone who commented

espo Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Great looking build, so many little details. The rack for the Surf Boards looks great. Are the exhaust tubes plastic also ??
DeeCee Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I am really not a fan of this era model, because everybody builds them the same.... same ol' same ol', no imagination..... EXCEPT YOU !! Very nice, very different, great wheel choice, nice detail, and the surf boards really top it off, i like this one for sure. !!!
DrKerry Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 That is one nice looking little hot rod!!!!!!!! Great stuff!!!!!!
peekay Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I really like this. The metal finishes are just right and give the whole thing a visual weight that belies its plastic origins.
crazyjim Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Super build that has a great look.Your exhaust pipes into the muffler/exhaust tips has a tapered look to the different size pipes. How did you do that taper?
wayne swayze Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 That is one beautiful hot rod! Love everything you did! Congrats!!
