I just got off the phone with Jerry Koszut of Resin Realm.  I called to inquire if one of his kits was available, which I am ordering.

Jerry advised that he will be closing up the business as he is getting on in years and has developed Emphysema and Congestive Heart Failure due to the many years of working in the resin business.  He will soon be listing his "close-out inventory" on the website and also will be listing some stuff on EBAY.  He also mentioned that the person who used to do his chrome plating has passed away, so the kit items that were normally chrome plated are now not plated.

I thought I'd pass this information on to everyone so they might still be able to get some of Jerry's stuff before it's all gone.

Seems like the resin "void" in this hobby just keeps growing...:(

I've noticed this in the 1/1 world as well. Guys are getting older. and not nearly as many youngsters with the same wants/desires.

Thanks for the heads up Richard! Had a look a their offerings and plan on getting an order in quick. The various Ford wagons are very cool and would make for great support vehicles for vintage drags.

Just ordered a kit a few months ago, great guy to deal with, I am sure RR will be greatly missed. I better look to see if there is something I need ASAP.

Resin Realm -   Wasn't he just a reseller of R&R?  At one point I think I remember Eddie Fluck providing him with models from his father's old molds (F&F).

That was a QUOTE from you. Not a personal attack.

Greg posts a lot of stuff, I answered him.

I answered you in another thread, asked you PLEASE search. I've done this many times.

Your entitled answer was to wait.

It takes LESS TIME to search than it does to complain. You POSTED here because you didn't like my referencing YOUR quote that you obviously had forgotten.

Your comments, some similar likes are fine. But sloth and entitlement not so much.

Many here are happy to help, moreso when most have tried to help selves first. Get over yourself.

Please keep things civil and on track. This started as a post to let us know that, unfortunately, another caster is shutting down shop.

Rich,

Any chance you have Jerry's '57 Dodge Royal Lancer kit? I'd like to get your opinion on it, if you would. Thinking of going for one if it's still available.

Thanks!

Yes, he sold R&R (through another reseller--Star Models) and also sold his own resin product under the name Mason City Motors or Mason City Resin previously IIRC,  now under the Resin Realm brand..

I've done business with him, and know Steve K. Great guy, will make sure castings are good, even from other casters. Decent prices and great service. Lots of friends in Omaha know him as well. Seems to be expanding into casting as well, but haven't discussed directly with him.

No Frank, I've never gotten Jerry's '57 Dodge Royal Lancer kit.  I did get and build Modelhaus's kit of that car over a year ago.  You'd have to call Jerry and ask if his Dodge kit is available.

Thanks for the response Rich. My options for a '57 Dodge are shrinking rapidly!
