I'm definitely in for the "revamp" DS21 kit, and I'll tackle people to the front of the line for a Safari...

i think Ebbro is going to make a few quid out of me when, I mean if, the DS Safari/Break comes to the market, the BBC never found anything better to use as a camera car,for the horse racing apart from the later CX, that is

I can't see Heller bringing anything new to the board for a while, after they declared bankruptcy last year, they've already cancelled a few projects they announced at last year's German Toy fair, both versions of the Renault Estafette have now been cancelled, as to Ebbro, who knows .....

Wow. Had no idea, what with the reissues and such coming out.

Oh well. 21 gets cooler the more I look it over...

Between this and the Hasegawa 2002 tii, it's going to be a great summer!

Yes, the quad-headlights with a clear cover look really nice. IIRC, the inboard lights were articulated and hooked up to the steering to follow the path of the front wheels.

They did, unless you were unlucky enough the buy a North American market DS, they made a right pig's ear of it thanks to Federal laws banning the plexiglass covering and the turing headlamps, not the first time a perfectly good European car has been completely wrecked by these laws though ....

When a member of the PT Cruiser club had some Morettes headlamps fitted to their Cruiser, I thought, I know where they got the idea for them ....

The Pajero came in this morning too, although your HLJ stocking mileage may vary as always.

Yeah, couple of days ago mine was put away in my private warehouse at Hobby Link Japan!  It should be well worth the wait!

"Another interesting feature is front-wheel drive. Some recent rumors from Detroit indicate that this set-up may become common in domestic cars within a few years."

From Motor Trend's review of the Citroen ID-19 station wagon, February 1961.

MT also said: "Six passengers can be seated on two bench-type seats that are comfortably padded for long trips. Two more passengers, preferably small Frenchmen, can be accommodated on two facing jump seats that fold easily into the rear cargo floor."

At a flea market a while back, I found a big stack of Motor Trend and Classic Cars magazines from the 1960s.  It's a blast looking thru them.

They were right, it just took a little longer.

As a kid, one of my favourite things about Dad's Toronado, aside from the futuristic styling, was that flat floor.  The back seat was practically like a living room.

They may have caught wind of Ford's FWD Cardinal project, later shelved for the USA but built as the Taunus 12-M in Germany.
